Spector bass vs fender jazz bass. Spector growls in the lows as clearly heard in this one. I wish they would have kept using it instead of going the jazz bass route.
@@jdouleia This comment is normal. When you’re over exaggerating normal shit. Disagree also, they bring a bigger fun energy to their fun music live imo.
Claudio goes to war with his guitar. Like an animal. Like a snap backrazor back turtle. When all bombs and missles fly over head, he is right there ammunating and firing back rapid fire from the notes of his weapon of choice.. the double neck back guitar. As notes fly from in and out of the furnace of this one mans heart, this one mans soul... 1cannot help but wonder in the realms of depths of humanity, that if the day shall ever come.. man will face the eye of god... and rain down fire of chord
dude every single instrumentalist in this band is very very talented... the bass is awesome, drums sound great, guitars match perfectly, and the vox take the cake...
I'll admit that the man didn't have very good breath control here, though he's gotten much better at it since this video was recorded. Besides that, the only way to say that his voice is anything besides perfect here, is voice preference. He hit just about every note flawlessly. The main is an excellent lead singer. I've seen them four times now and he's awesome.
Comes with the territory of being a musician/singer. The singer of my band doesn't even play anything, but he sometimes has trouble on stage with all the running and jumping around he does.
I agree with SprayMyLifeWithCans . Starland was awesome, but what made it so much more epic was that the venue was small . They did mess up alot at Starland . You have to have a keen ear to hear .
@Dawgz3377 I dont know why he dosnt here, but live he does use the 12 string neck for the "here laid to rest..." part and he also plays the song Always and Never with the 12 string
@ahahollie wanna know something great about this guy? He has really bad acid reflux issues, and has actually had to cancel shows because of it. But, most of the time he's a real trooper, and pulls it off great!
the thing i've learned about music videos is to never look at the comments for that is where the trolls dwell if you are reading this it's too late to save you for the trolls have you surrounded
Man this was back in the day when it was all the original members... I'm glad Josh is back, but I miss Mike on bass. That guy was a character every interview making jokes, and shit. Loved him so sad to hear he has cancer now. I hope at least on one album in the future the whole band gets back together. Just one album.
Love the performance. Only thing I noticed is that not only did it speed up and slow down dramatically in the beginning, but throughout the whole performance, not one of them was in any sort of pocket cuz that time was all over the place, and not in a good way mind you.
That's what I think shows a good band. Being able to sound good on an album, and play that stuff live. He can sing awesome live! But, the whole band is also really tight and great. The solos and drums and even the bass sound greattt live.
@bartamousmaximous In the album, in the song before this one he uses the 12-String neck. I can't be sure of this, but I suposse they played it before Welcome Home. Sorry for my bad english xD
i wasnt meaning anything in a bad way, i love his voice. i think his voice over powers the songs a bit. would love to hear him sing in some other avenues too. i wasnt trying to bash in any way.
You would probably like his vocals a lot more now. He has developed more of his lower register and had much better tone and power now. Look for Coheed's covers of Heaven and Hell if you want to hear how he has matured vocally.
4:13 whoa bass
I remember rocking out to this solo on rockband!!!!!!! Headbanging and shit with a plastic guitar lmfao
Ikr
dude I just finished playing that song on rockband
I love the bass track on this recording,. the bass stands out so much it sounds so awesome compared to other live recordings
Spector bass vs fender jazz bass. Spector growls in the lows as clearly heard in this one. I wish they would have kept using it instead of going the jazz bass route.
This band is so underrated
I was just thinking that haha
When a band sounds better live than recorded...fucking AMAZING
when ur high and have access to youtube comments
@@jdouleia wtf dude? This band always had an amazing sound sounded and better in their concerts!
You really should check them out!
i’ve seen them live multiple times, their albums sound better

Sanchez' hair is a very own eco-system. :D
more like a chia pet

i wonder if they ever get tired of playing Welcome Home, i hope not, because i never tire of hearing it
Insane licks, incredible drums, and amazing hair. Coheed has it all
dude every single instrumentalist in this band is very very talented... the bass is awesome, drums sound great, guitars match perfectly, and the vox take the cake...

Sounds exactly like the studio version. These guys rock!
It makes me love them so much more to know that they sing and play every bit as good live as on the album... these guys are incredible.
These guys are just amazing. Storytellers and excellent musicians.

That guitar he uses during this song live. Absolutely beautiful.
I saw these guys at Bonnaroo a few years ago and they were phenomenal! Claudio is HOTTTTT!
this is epic beyond comprehension.
5:36 - if you fused together Harold and Kumar, you would get this guy.
definitely the best performance ive seen from this band - they should get back on it - 2021
The sounds of Bass Guitar.. love it!
Just recently discovered these guys, holy shit what have i missed?
Bass that makes this song perfect and that bass player is sick his a badass
6 mins. Of my life well spent.
dude bro, it wasn't just a show bro, it blew all our minds bro, dude.
@JamesBStudios a lot of great music. Glad you found them. :)
The vocalist is INCREDIBLE live!
He gives me goosebumps!
Deyng. Coolest hair I've ever seen from a rock band.
absolutely awesome live. Seen them 4 times and they kick ass every time!!!
They are sooookk good live
They rock the audience, and they do it wearing a tie... Awesome.
i just love watching that fraggle play his double neck guitar
I think I can safely say that the dual guitar solo in this song is one of my absolute favorite solo in my entire (rather expansive) musical collection
Dear Mr. Eppard, we miss you energy, sincerely: a fan who misses you.
Harmonic lessons brought me here ..
and I liked it :D
awesome song. i love his hair!!!
This band is Sick live!!! hands down to Claudio...
Aaaaaah yes the bass is soooo full🤣🤣🤣I love it man
BEST SONG EVER!!!
So true, I used to be in a band and I was the vocalist. i then later pursued guitar and trying to vocal and play is extremely hard!
this is my fav Coheed song....it goes so hard omg..
Going to the last show of the tour on March 16th. It's going to be ridiculous and I cannot wait any longer.
this is probably one of my favorite guitar songs ever made.
столько лет прошло, а до сих пор слушаю и тащусь)))
Dude I did too! First concert, but hands down the best.
one of the best bands live
Seeing them in Houston, August 29!! He's perfectly on key as on the album. Incredible!
dude this is his style. Welcome Home NEEDS this voice. Claudio is the voice of coheed.
I'll admit that the man didn't have very good breath control here, though he's gotten much better at it since this video was recorded. They are amazing.
The best hair in all of Rock History, aside their Rushesque influence and musical density..
OMG!!!!!
Nice! That is great to hear!
They are fucking awesome in concert! seen them at the white horse in SF.
One of the best songs they play
Saw them a few weeks ago. They played this, (obviously.) Also saw Jane's Addiction and Alice in Chains. That was a good day.
that is the most luscious hair i have ever seen.
I agree with SprayMyLifeWithCans . Starland was awesome, but what made it so much more epic was that the venue was small . They did mess up alot at Starland . You have to have a keen ear to hear .
yeah, it's 2k20 and I still love it >3 *bleibt gesund*
This. Is. So. Perfect.... I'm going to see them August 24th. They're my favorite band ever ah
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED BANDS OF ALL TIME.
Oh man this is the real heavy shit. I always hurt my neck when this is on. I'm 56!!
And this awesome bass...
“ 9..... you will protect the future “
fookin unbelievable.........
@Dawgz3377 I dont know why he dosnt here, but live he does use the 12 string neck for the "here laid to rest..." part and he also plays the song Always and Never with the 12 string
Fantastic

Thanks for vising us to philippines \m/>_
He does use the top neck in the chorus and before the solo. He uses the top neck even more now when he plays it live.
This is my running song. I end races with it.
on the contrary, for audio in a LIVE show, this is actually pretty incredible.
that hair is just amazing
i reproduced 1000 times this fucking amazing intro
wow these dudes sound fantastic as hell live
Man this was back in the day when it was all the original members... I'm glad Josh is back, but I miss Mike on bass. That guy was a character every interview making jokes, and shit. Loved him so sad to hear he has cancer now. I hope at least on one album in the future the whole band gets back together. Just one album.
That is a bass player that is both in a groove and drugged out of his mind. The action you saw is the result of those two things.
haha i remember having the audio to this video in 6th grade. like 2004.
the best song, but i'd like samba of Brazil too.. it's awesome
Wow these guys fucking rock live !!!
Love the performance. Only thing I noticed is that not only did it speed up and slow down dramatically in the beginning, but throughout the whole performance, not one of them was in any sort of pocket cuz that time was all over the place, and not in a good way mind you.
Warren2112 the drummer is Josh Eppard and the bassist is Mic Todd
Seeing them in one weeeeeeeek
what a voice for that big guy :D
Oh my god.. I literally lost my shit, that was so funny. Kudos to you.
18 strung guitar grats fav song intro and solo
Amazing live!
That's what I think shows a good band. Being able to sound good on an album, and play that stuff live.
He can sing awesome live!
But, the whole band is also really tight and great. The solos and drums and even the bass sound greattt live.
just f*ck!ng epic..

Sorry for my bad english xD
First song I heard from them & dam ♥ I like it! \m/
i wasnt meaning anything in a bad way, i love his voice. i think his voice over powers the songs a bit. would love to hear him sing in some other avenues too. i wasnt trying to bash in any way.

Look for Coheed's covers of Heaven and Hell if you want to hear how he has matured vocally.
Actually at their show this last Saturday he was playing on the 12-string neck quite a bit during this song.
You have to almost tone out the song in your head but still hear it.
