Since I practice martial arts (with a sprinkle of boxing here and there) it helped boost my need and wanting to improve myself. I've practiced harder than ever before because of this show.

I box like Tyson because of Ippo. I've knocked over a freestanding heavybag weighed down with water weighing 48kg Dempsey Rolling. My goal was to get this strong and cut to featherweight like Ippo. I could but I'm super-welterweight rn, maybe Super lightweight I could do and keep this strength, since I aim to fight regionals next September
Somehow, watching this, I feel like the characters are a part of my own family, even if I haven't met them, this show just felt so motivating and real and you could relate to every character so well.
Na - the first 130 episodes ended at manga chapter 557 - so another 150 episodes would probably catch it up to 1200 - 1300+ . Hajime no Ippo doesnt milk episodes like one piece.

Also, is it just me or they didn’t play the epic happy/sad song Naoya Mori this entire season. :( the last time I think they played it was after the Kimura vs Mashiba fight.
