wow i wish the flywheel on my camaro was this east to take off...i was looking on how to replace clutch and flywheel for a real car and this came up...i had no idea RC cars were this complex and similar to real cars its really cool
On the clutch you can't tell and it your like me parts get moved around when working or waiting for new parts ,what way is back n front on clutch ,my guess was springs out but this just a suggestion on adding a note in that part of the video
@RIPje365 im no expert but common sense tells me that it is getting flooded. too much gas is getting in the engine and its drowning it out just lean it up maybe. another thing i found useful is factory setting for my car. look up your factory setting and tune it back to that and make your adjustments then. *good luck*
Could you do a video on clutch and flywheel on 0.28 nitro. And/Or a video on the difference between a metal clutch and plastic clutch on the 0.28. I do think all the videos are great you have.
Dont use piston locker tool to lock, because it hurts the piston , specially in old one engines, if you unscrew the flywheel with piston locking tool you can breaks the piston connecting rod.
So I have a exceed rc nitro short course truck and when I turn it on it idles and everything but it doesn’t move or does not accelerate and solution of that I been trying to figure it out awhile now and can’t figure it out please let me know for any solution

ok.. i have a litthe problem.. when i start my engine, it shuts down after like 5-10 seconds.. and when i hit the gas, it shuts down immediately any1 knows how comes?! i had alot of problems whit my engine... so, are the tunings to rich or not? some1 help plz! (sorry for bad grammar, im not english)

@@mayhemmechanics4068 ok so either you haven't watched the video or you haven't paid attention to the question i asked! The video doesn't show how to install the spring on its own! He just removes the clutch and spring together i had a broken spring and wanted to know how to install a new spring! I had to figure it out myself after watching the video as i should have done in the first place if this is the calibre of comments left I'll never bother commenting for help only to find a keyboard warrior like yourself trolling videos commenting on old comments and not being helpful . That was 8 nitro cars ago now i rebuild and build from scratch!
Has the engine been ran before? Since the nitro engines don't use piston rings to seal the piston to sleeve of the combustion chamber the piston and sleeve rubs together to create the seal. New engines are going to be a bit tight when it's brand new but once it has been ran a couple times it'll get a little looser so you can spin the flywheel by hand.

Thanks for the video, I removed mine from a Thunder Tiger 18 engine. I also used an extractor. I wonder why 23 people pressed dislike.
The factory puts some locktite onto that bolt when they install it, try putting some heat on the locktite to loosen it.

When you give it throttle does the clutch bell spin? If it does that means something else in the drivetrain isn't engaging.

hey man..my truck wont move when i rev it..checked clutch looks fine..any ideas ?? something is slipping or not engaging..
my flywheel spins freely and doesn't spin the clutch and i can see tiny like glitter bits of metal flying off one of then

what would happen if i put a 4 pin flywheel on my rc car went it uses a 3 pin one now?

If you take the glow plug out to put the piston locking tool in. The engine will stop any way
that bolt on the flyweel will not come off i tried as much as i could

To rich, go all the way in then mark it; count how many turns out. Should be around 2.5 to 3 full turns out. Make adjustments 1/8 at a time. Good luck
