I don't know if other people have commented on this in previous videos because it's not the first time we have seen this in one of your videos, but building a campfire in the alpine environment is the opposite of leave no trace camping. Campfire scars can last many years even if you scattered the rocks and ashes after. Burning the small amount of wood that is found in high alpine environments also degrades the total available nutrients for the other vegitation that rely on the decomposition for their nutrients. The alpine environment is a very fragile ecosystem and the effects of numerous hikers and campers have already caused serious damage to many popular areas which is just one reason why leave no trace camping has been encouraged on the PCT.
Mary, your filming was gorgeous here. All the beautiful rushing water and trail scenes are lovely. And may I say that the music was gentle and not so repetitious that it detracted from the video. Sometimes when the musical phrasing repeats over and over in a video it can detract and make it difficult to focus on the video. Finding music with long gentle melodies enhances the video and causes the listener to concentrate on your beautiful filming rather than being unsettled by the musical repetition. This will draw even more viewers to your lovely channel. And further more and more people will benefit and be uplifted by your artistic work. Be safe.
Hello Mary, congratulations on the 800 miles. Given the conditions in which you traveled, that is quite an accomplishment. Always the best to you out there on the trail. 🤗
Congrats on the 800. Looks like you've got a good team again, will be interesting to hear the story. It also looks like far less snow than we were seeing in the last recent videos.

Keebler needs to do the right thing and deliver those gifts to Diego.🤗 Was it the thin mountain air causing all the laughter and giggles? 🤔 Everything is new but you are still heading North ~ that is great to see!
You didn't mention the part about your fall and self arrest. Also pack and shoe change??? I hope all is well. Much faith in your abilties!!! Take care.

Super clear water 💦. Funny note. Fit bit doesn’t seem like a gift quest for a child.
