i'm super burned out raiding. really hoping they add 5 man content that matters, as that's all i've ever really cared about
3 day resets have been killing me multiple toons means I feel like I have to be in gnomer constantly
They need other content, they are pushing raiding out before you even get to 60. While it’s fun but it’ll burn a lot of people out by the time it’s max level raiding
100% these phases are just your prebis for current is your bis from last phase

@@WetFarts94 it's called "leveling raids". You don't have to do them as much as you do, you could utilize them for leveling when the time comes so you're less burnt out on them during current content and focus on alts, professions, reputation, pvp or gold farming. There is other content.
The best fix to this would be more bis items outside of the raid. While having a lot of your best items in the raid itself is important, for example people would spend a lot of time outside of raiding farming hand of justice, or doing UBRS for pre-raid gear. Even if it was a few strong items like 1 per dungeon for various classes. There's literally nothing worth doing at these brackets outside of Gnomer.

@@hammerdancegaming this also is probably a symptom of the broken up leveling brackets...unfortunately maybe next phase they wise up and give us some more options outside of the level 50 raid.
Im pretty upset that the bis weps for my shaman are the 2 fist weps within gnomer that are both highly contested by most melee classes, they are super fucking rare as in 11 gnomer clears I saw each drop once and got neither. If there was any other option to get other weps that good Id farm the hell out of it.
@@ThesoulofalionI mean most weps are contested, why do you want the loot to be easier you’re just burnt out all that faster. You shouldn’t have your bis wep in a few lock outs without insane luck. That’s classic for you.
Plunderstorm is not for me, but I can appreciate they made it for the ppl who love that sort of thing :-) I'm enjoing SoD still and excited to see what comes in P3

Have you looked at epoch wow the private server? Beta is coming out April 5th. They amount of effort they’ve put into vanilla+ vs Blizz is incredible.
Glad they're experimenting more like plunderstorm and SoD! I feel like it's the only way wow survives the future. Just this week I decided to take a break from SoD until phase 3 similar to you. Glad I have FF7 and Dragons Dogma coming up! Really hoping phase 3 includes more pve content such as dungeons. I really feel the team underestimated how popular SoD was going to be.
Also wouldn't mind seeing other game content from you!
I'd say 25-40 is way quicker than 1-25 was with the 100% exp buff. You get like half a level every run of SM. The 3 day lockout is killing us having to coordinate and run multiple groups 3 days per week. This is causing the most burnout for us.
We have been running every wed/Sunday, which worked really well. But I feel ya!
Yeah I barely have enough time to do one run every few days if that from life obligations I have a few level 40s (Crusader strike Ally)
Totally get it, the nice thing of classic is not raiding 3 days a week, even if it’s 30 minute clears. I’d rather 1 night a week of raiding.

Nah.. they decidex in season one only levling inside is somthing they sont want.. dont change informed decision because of lack of content.. if you ment one week lockout instead then sure.
Plunderstorm is nothing more of a distraction from what they are supposed to do....whether it's class tuning or actual repeatable AND entertaining end game content. The SoD "experiment" really has no end goal other than put what if scenarios that really don't work in an overall classic experience.

I completely agree with what you say. I assume blizzard have made plunderstorm locked behind the subscription and as a limited time game as a sort of beta to see the response and potentially build on it. If they made it free to play and updated it then what you say about new players potentially subscribing is a definite possibility. I'm hoping that Devs have been quiet on SoD because P3 is going to be packed with end game content, P2 has been a bit lack luster. Love the raid but now I'm raid logging and this week I'm not even going to bother raiding.
Plunderstorm needs it's own client, needs to be free to play with bonuses or battle pass for subscribers, and they need to ditch the pirate them and support the regular wow theme. They do this, and it would be huge!

I actually enjoy the slower pace. As a dad gamer it really fits my lifestyle and how (and how much) I can play. They (and content creators) have said multiple times that this was/is supposed to be casual-friendly. I’d love to see it stay that way. There are loads of other games for the more intense/hardcore gamers. For those of us with careers, families, and other responsibilities this is just about perfect. But this is just MY opinion.
Also… you look fantastic bro! You’re in your 30s??? I thought for sure you were early to mid 20s - 25 tops.
it's been 10 days since the last balance patch... not weeks, but your sentiment still seems to be the perception for many. Personally I'm enjoying phase 2 a lot more... got bored in phase 1. I do think they definitely should have done a little more balancing... swapped to my shaman the last week or so and maybe that's why I'm still enjoying it... my rogue feels super weak in comparison, and my warrior is fun, but shaman is on another level.
I also think that while people say they like the STV event, they don't actually like the STV event. The lag combined with the short kill times just diminishes the fun even if it's subconscious.
2 tiers:
- noob tier for people 100 kills everyone else
In that way everyone has at least a chance to kill somebody in this game.
Please show a few clips of games you like to play in between season drought. Or how bout a speculation video on our next bis class . ? Just fun to watch your thoughts play out 😊
I for one would love to see some videos on games from back in your days like Senet or Backgammon

Still playing SOD, but Im not such a big fan of the raiding community in this game and it seems to be getting worse by the phase.
Also another thing to take note of is if you aren't rushing in the first 2 weeks to do the new raid and get logs done, you will be left out of groups weeks later when you go to start Gnomer because people wont accept you without a log to judge. Not so great for the people who want to run alts at the end of a phase.

I loved SoD P1....I like SoD P2....its losing its luster though. Not sure exactly why....for me personally I its starting to feel like a waste to have BiS and get dripped out and it all get replaced in weeks. I think the quicker they get to 60 the better off the playerbase will be. Then dump more content into max level/ideas and gear sets
Even on cata beta there’s no communication from them. They fixed a few bugs but that’s it.
Its nice to have a slow pace as people dont have all the time of the day to play well i suppose most of us that have grown up got kids work etc
I started playing at the beging of sod ph2 only got 2 characters and i still have content to do lol
I’m burned out as well in phase 2 I think phase 1 felt better because wsg mattered pvp mattered and blood event is a joke - plunderstorm is great

I think Plunderstorm will do exactly what you are saying, time-limited and subcriber only just screams of feedback testing on an audience that isn't going anywhere. If they get the feedback they want, there will probably be a big relaunch.

Yeah you have to install retail... Though not dragonflight. It's silly. Like they didn't want to risk no one wanting to pay for plunderstorm as it's own game. Or maybe they just want to use it to boost the active player count for the quarter for retail.
Diffrent content diffrent channels.. i make freak out if i have to suffer through cataclissm ptsd or other games again.
Pretty sure the BR is going to be F2P stand alone. This is the beta. They said it’s just temporary even for actual wow. They didn’t put in the work to make this without a plan to monetize 😊

My problem in SoD has been with most returning players honestly. Raids aren't about fun, they're about parsing (most of you are using that word wrong BTW and it drives me crazy). They overpower every conversation with it, and you can barely break into the game if you don't have history doing it perfectly within the first week. If you had a consistent group before SoD this probably seems fine, but as a returning player trying to actually experience the game again this has completely overpowered every moment in the game, and you absolutely can not avoid it anymore.
Ban all raid logs and dps charts.
I completely agree with this. The sweaty/try-hard stuff can be incredibly frustrating. It’s also completely antithetical to the supposed casual nature of this game mode.
The game is casual but classic players have always been sweatier as the phases go on.@@eshdmd

I'm glad everyone that is enjoying it has a new way to interact with the Warcraft Universe but it is for sure not for me. I really hope that they don't connect it with character progression as, I came here to play WoW not Fortnight. No character progression = no reason to play other than gotta catch em all Pokemon mount/pet FoMo. I agree that it could be a great drive for the next gen Warcraft player but please Blizz, disconnect it from WoW!
I would love to see Plunderstorm with a classic wow theme option and free stand alone client.
I feel like Plunderstorm is what Blood Moon Event in STV should be like. No teams. No bros. Everyone against everyone. Anyone can become your victim, even the closest friend. Pure madness

I think its a big mistake to focus so much on Cata, Wotlk was so hyped and 90% of the playerbase quit within a Month cause its just no longer Classic. Im confinced SoD will end up in Classic + and is the Future of Classic Wow. And for Plunderstorm imo its just to late i played brs a few years ago but no longer enjoy the loop

plunderstorm could have bin way better but its not. could have bin class based or clasless with weapons all over the map. abilities could have been specific to classes or completely customizable. mounts. different biomes and buildings you could go into consumables. squads. a larger map with more intersting mobs and bosses. more interesting quest and things to do on the map. you know like all the other battle royals out their. not this half assed knock off nobody cares about
I can't take anyone serious when they're like "there's no content" or "not enough content". If you're burned out, play another game or stop living on the game. No game is literally intended for people to spend every waking moment on it or every free moment they have if they have 'normal jobs' that don't let them play the game all day. And if people are doing raids, leveling alts, rep and pvp grinding, working on professions and gold etc, there is plenty, PLENTY to do to keep you occupied normally.

3 day lockouts = too much Gnomer, only one raid
Dungeon levelling = dead world for leveling
Too many runes/class changes and balancing = not classic
Still having fun but basically hanging by a thread.
Thumbs down just for the ally hoddie. What people just havent figured out yet about SOD = its CLASSIC!!!!!! while thats fine, its just lipstick on the same pig... nothing is different nor will be as they "add" more.

I don't really understand what people are complaining about. I just leveled a warlock from 1-40 in less than 24 hours. I do agree however that we need more end game content.
Yea I don't think that the complaints are about the leveling for the most part its the lack of content at 40. So there's no real incentive to play more than 1 or 2 characters and go through that grind. For a good majority of the player base, 1-40 takes much longer than 24 hours. That's where the issue lies I think.
Not everyone has access to the no life times or knowledge or guilds or in game gold to achieve anywhere near this.
Ok, let's start with the fact that in his video he literally said that most people had 6-7 lvl 25's in phase 1. So, we're really talking about leveling from 25-40. Not 1-40. But that aside, I leveled 1-8 in like 10 minutes because, well, with the XP buff, it's a joke. I then did 8-18 RFC boosts at 1g a piece. I think it was 10 runs. Then I did SFK boosts at 3 gold a piece. That was another 10 or so runs all the way to 28 and then I started dungeon grinding in SM all the way till 40. I took one break to quickly do the sleeping bag quest chain for both XP and the student fodder.
My point is - for something like 30 g and having a few guildies summon you places (aren't most people in guilds?) you can get to 40 very quickly. And again - 24 hours isn't the cut off for people to go "oh, hell this takes too long, I'm out." Indeed, it took longer than 24 hours to get your toon to lvl 25 in phase 1.
I will also mention that I play on two accounts, so I used my main to help me do quests for runes etc. which helped a lot.
Bottom line, I think it is extremely reasonable that someone can casually get an alt from phase 25 to lvl 40 in about a week's time if you do a LITTLE bit of planning and use a little bit of gold (I assume most people can muster 30g).
