The best way I've described this game is the survival aspects of minecraft with the items and gameplay loop of risk of rain 2 (which Dani, the developer, has said he took inspiration from)

the Risk of Rain like buff chest thing really has my attention. and the whacky low poly art style reminds me of Totally Accurate Battle Sim. totally all about this game, thank you for showing it to us.
@@commanderfoxtrot To be fair Rust is far more of a sandbox shooter then a survival game I mean the few Survival elements are animals (depending on terrain you can loose them and once you aquire any ranged weapon so a few minutes in they are easy) Hunger and thirst both of these things are parts you will likely not even experience unless you are doing alright and both are realy easy to deal with
I honestly did not expect anyone to play this for a video, and I certainly didn’t expect Wanderbots to play it lmao A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one
If you want a good survival game that focuses more on the survival aspect I recommend checking out subsistence, it’s a wilderness survival game I believe you’d enjoy.

I know that it's somewhat unlikly for you to read this, but have you ever played Fortress Craft? It's basically MC meets Factorio, an editable voxel terrain factory builder with lots of glowing colors and tower defense elements. Not too similar to your style, but I thought I'd ask.
Love this game but it's very barebones for now very happy Dani is updating it frequently though. Lots of RNG for the best drops, gold is WORSE than iron use it for coins to use it more optimally or for arrows. Good luck and have fun
