What if you put the winter village atop or in the mountain range which will break up the giant monolith mountain? Love the tunnels. Also a mine would be cool
The raised train track around the mountain range and going through tunnels sounds amazing and gave me an idea! If the mountains went around a standing hole and created a valley. Think about a Valley a secret and mysterious town separated from the rest of the Lego world. It could be beautiful with water falls and completely different vegetation than the rest of the city!!! I was thinking either Ninjago or Rivendell. It would make a more fantasy themed part of the city and would be great for story telling!
That's a great idea! The Mushroom House might look good there, too. If he got it.
@jonahyoung55 in my comment I mentioned Rivendell or Ninjago. Later I thought about Avatar. Just imagine the fantastical vegetation that could exist in this magical valley. I can see waterfalls and fantasy creatures. It would be a cool way to use more colorful parts and themes.

Lego studio is looking beauty!!! I am finally back to ordering sets again, took a few weeks off. Got a new BROR shelf ordered from Ikea...gotta assemble that once it gets in...also close to clearing out a spare room in the house to make Lego Room #2! I can fit 8 shelving units in there if need be! Keep up the great work...love seeing the videos!!

It's good to find a better way of getting the parts you need without ending up with a load of surplus parts that you have no use for - and don't worry about the mistake in ordering - you'll find a use for it somewhere.
The X-Wing/TIE Fighter one isn't that weird, though because in one of the Legends novels, X-Wing The Bacta War, there are snub fighters that are a mixture of TIE, X-Wing, A-Wing, etc which were salvaged from different parts, nicknamed uglies. It would have been great if the mini figs were characters from that book.
It would be very cool if you had something above the lego city. Like a castle on clouds or something like that.
The sets are from the new disney+ lego star wars show coming in September. Think it's called rebuild the galaxy. Should check out the trailer for it in your spare time.

All aboard!!! I think your city needs a monument, kinda like the St. Louis Arch, the hollywood sign or the Golden Gate Bridge. A Statue of "Bricksie" maybe made into you mountain? How about an OIL field out in the farmland? love the city man, looks great.

Seeing all the train tracks you bought put a scenario in my mind of a Lego train running through your city, passing the farmland area, and then letting vacationers off somewhere near the campground or the amusement park.
I don't know if that is the plan you have in mind, but when you get the train track project done please put the little camera on the train and do a video from that POV for us!

Hey Bricksie. There are electronic blinds that i think would be very useful in your situation. Think it would be very convenient if you could close blinds with a remote when it's interfering with filming. Just thought i would throw that out there. Love your vids thanks for all you do.

I really like the look of the light coming through the drawer units, but worry about the parts becoming discolored (even if the film says it blocks UV light)
Hi Bricksie you have 4/5 spaces under the brick wall why don’t you put a bin in each one then divide the drawers above so when you go looking for bricks and it’s not in the drawers you will know it could be in the bin’s underneath that section that way the bins you got to go through will be broken down into sections
Mix and match with the X-wing and TIE fighter parts is weird. But in their normal form the models seem like they'd display well near the smaller Executor, Tantive IV, Invisible Hand, and Falcon (and even better if you scratch built them some black stands)
But I'd love to you see show them side by side with those other sets to get a comparison (after you're allowed to show the built models).
How did you get 2 GWP's? I did 2 orders from Lego during the Star Wars GWP and only got one. When I called to complain, they told me they only allow a single GWP per address? Are LAN members able to get multiples or something? I'm VERY disappointed with Lego these days. The last two multi-set orders I placed came crushed, and all boxes inside were crushed. This really peeves me off... I'm going to call them again and find out what is going on.

I love these sets because they remind me of the Lego Movie sets. Just weird things that only Lego could make!
I noticed that you have a network cable running along a power conduit. Are you still having connections issues from that device? If so, remove the ethernet cable and reroute it to cross perpendicularly to the power conduit and test connection. Maybe even put a short run of conduit crossing over the power conduit to add some extra shielding for the data line. You want the minimum and least crossing between power and communication/data cables as possible. However if you swap that ethernet out with a fiber data cable there'll be no interference and can be run along the existing conduit, but a tad expensive.
If you got the BDP Logging Railway, that might work in the raised railway in the mountains. Bricksie is the only Lego TH-camr I can think of who could actually fit that behemoth of a bridge into his city.
That giant pile of straight track looks glorious. Can't wait to see it used in the city.
Do you have any plans to use the extra curved track in interesting non-train ways? I've sen people use them as arched / curved ceilings, or for neat curved skyscrapers.

Dark Falcon set has a brick built PS5 a generic controller for a minifig and a tv screen with the Star Wars Chess Game for the PS5 printed on it.

An average Lego enthusiast barely, if at all, managing to buy the sets they want (I for one need to pass on many cool sets just so I can get the ones that have more priority for me), meanwhile Bricksie buying that many pieces.... But for real, can't wait to see you incorporating those pieces into the city. Also, idk if you found out about those sets, but they're from the alternate universe series that Lego is making (I think it airs in September or some time like that) where it's essentially a what if for star wars.

Nice move buying the straight track individually. You saved a lot rather than buying City packs and no big bins of useless corners you have to store.
I actually got a Lego order in a couple days ago, it was the city of lateens set and the gwp. Also you should make a train going through a valley.
For the train track, would you be open to using some of the R56 Corners or other custom 3rd party parts to assist with running multiple train lines
The Star Wars Lego mash up sets are more exciting for those who watch the Lego cartoon movies. At least I myself am excited for it and my son.

you're overthinking the light coming through the windows - it's actually much nicer to see sunlight than just the light from the fixtures

Truly cant remember if i mentioned the film or not probably seeing as i work in that field and uv tint helps a ton with sun bleaching

In my opinion I feel the light makes it look more alive and open. If you move the drawers away from the window and down a bit, you could use those as extra desks. It’s just an idea but I think it looks good!
I often times find myself thinking how I would do things differently, but I'm forced to remind myself it's his domain lol. Me personally I would put the sit stand desks between the windows with shelf displays on the ends and move the parts where the desks and display shelves are now. I love that he lets us live vicariously through his passion. I actually love the natural light flowing in to the upper level. It makes it a more cheery space. Natural light is good for the mind.
Random idea why don’t you make the mountain as tall as you in the middle so you can pop your head out the middle then make a dinosaur world inside the mountain 😂😂 my 🧠 so random sometimes
