  • Join our family on this wintry day at our homestead as we collect water the old-fashioned way for use around our off-grid home!

We answered The Calling to leave our busy life in the city behind and embark on a homesteading adventure in the heart of the Canadian wilderness. Here at Camp Tamiyd we are building community with other believers who are sensing the same calling.
As we watch things in the world becoming more and more uncertain, we are making intentional steps to become more self-sufficient, develop strength of character, and restore the long-lost knowledge to our children that will enable them to stand through the last days of Earth’s history.
It is our goal to share our successes, our failures, and the little tid-bits we learn along the way to inspire and encourage you to consider a life in the country if you are feeling led in that direction. Please send us a comment below, or email us at: awildernesscalling@gmail.com

If you are interested in learning more about what is happening in the world today that is leading many Believers to the country, and how these events relate to ancient Biblical prophecies that are coming true today, please visit our ministry website: www.endtimesprophecy.com

Do you boil it as well? Deer, beavers & other critters doing their business as they get their drinks.

We have a Berkey water filter that we use to purify our drinking water. We also usually have a big pot of water boiling on the wood cookstove. Good point though, definitely not worth the risk of beaver fever, etc!
