My French favorite film! Jeanne Moreau a superb and beautiful actress! Miles Davis a true musical genius, as composer and trumpetist! The great Lino Ventura, the police inspector, strong character and superb actor! The cinematographer and screenwriter all of them directed by a true genius very far ahead his time: Louis Malle! Thanks for posting this superb interview!

A masterpiece of the arts...Moreau is wearing a similar looking outfit as the character & hairstyle. Timeless beauty.

Such a good English, she speaks! Moreau has an English mother and French father.

Jeanne Moreau, this wonderful actress and personality, refers to Roger Nimier as the co writer of Elevator To The Gallows ( movie ). Roger Nimier was an ultra right winger who befriended Vichy fascists, and coincidentally got Louis Malle ( film maker) to make a film called FEU FOLLET based on a book by his Vichy fascist friend, Drieu de La Rochelle. Interesting how Louis Malle had anti Vichy sympathies while befriending and working with fascist sympathizers.
