12:01 I can't believe Intelligent Systems deadass said "let's make the already strongest star power even stronger!" WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!? ...It's dummy fun tho
@@NathanDreiNicor This might just might be me not being an rpg kind of guy but I feel like you need to find that nice middle ground when balancing out attacks you can use. It isn't required to use but it seems a bit too easy to spot/use to the point that most people are going to use, which breaks any challenge you can expect. The biggest flaw is having this kind of thing not only get buffed, but have it early on in the game after only the 3rd chapter. I'd mainly be more forgiving if it weren't for those 2 reasons. If this is something you got in the final chapter or 2 and it was a bit more complex so you don't get the max output always then its technically more fair. But having this so early and easy to do kind of just limits the attack strategy on top of the other limiting factors on the battle system by the the viable battle partners really only being 2 or 3 out of 7. As someone who hasn't played the game before once it becomes available it's an option it can help if you're struggling but also once you see how good it is, it makes the rest of the game much easier eliminating pretty much any difficulty leading to either giving up on the game if you don't use it, or being bored out of your mind because you'll do the same thing with every single important battle. Like at least with other RPG's, you have more variety in your attack plan and even with the more broken items, it's balanced better to wear it's not the set thing to win everytime. That's the problem I have with TTYD, it has a decently good gameplay loop outside of battles, it's music, espcially in the remake, is really good, the partners feel like actual characters compared to 64, even if 64 had better battle variety for them, and for mario standards the story is quite good and interesting even if comes a bit short to SPM's. But some of the claims people have made about this game seem overrated to me and as many good qualities as this game has, I can't really stand by them when at least half to 3/4's of the PM fanbase often treats this game as perfect and more than most fanbases it tries to actively make sure you can't say otherwise or say another PM that's not in this style are good. Pls, this is more a me thing but, compared to 64, SPM, and OK, the overall game feel isn't the most original which also knocks off points for me.
11:24 It probably wasn't intentional, but I love the usage of the "Mine mine" seagulls for the Smorgs, as they're called the Miomios in the Spanish version ("mío" being the Spanish word for "mine"). So I definitely had the seagulls in mind when playing through the game myself lmao
13:56 "How are there no cameras in the hallways to see like, Peach going from her room to this room?" Oh there definitely is, seeing as Tec always seems to be able to know where Peach is. Tec is the central computer of the X-Naut facility. Tec does not want Peach to be harmed, certainly not for what he's asking her to do. Thing is, nobody knows that Tec's motive goes against their own. Therefore, nobody would be thinking about monitoring the hallways because they think Tec is already doing that. And if they are monitoring things, all that really has to happen is Tec just doesn't let them see, using the age-old media technique that is reusing footage or cutting it entirely. And here I go again defending the X-Nauts
Fun Fact: The elite X-naut taking a shower was in the original game. It was just an optional easter egg though. However in the remake they specifically added a 4th elevator key and made that easter egg required. And I find that hillarous
4:15 If I had a nickle for every IS series that had a massive fumble description two times in a row... I would have 2 nickles. Which it isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
13:57 - Wouldn't TEC be the one in charge of managing and watching the cameras? I imagine as a result, Grodus wouldn't keep any secret cameras solely for his eyes because he wouldn't've expected his AI to go rogue
I think of it as the engineers whoever designed TEC are either geniuses that has a computer adapt quickly... or incredibly stupid cause they gave thought to it XD Like... Grodus is also NOT escaping this either, cause he calls it a traitor, but... THEY DESIGNED IT! IT'S A COMPUTER XD And their solution to the "traitor" is to simply hold the power button off XD Then, they STILL didn't recoded it so TEC can't have anymore information.

Flower Saver P for Lip Lock, piercing damage for 2 or even 1 FP that heals, or just Power Plus P / P-Up D-Down P. And if neither is of your liking you always have Special Moves which all pierce Defense and stem from a gauge you can literally just regenerate by playing the game.
Ms. Mowz is not a good combatant because the game isn't designed for her to be a necessity. It wouldn't be the best game design for a part of the main story to be too tough if you didn't do a sidequest from an established sidequest spot. Maybe in a game where EXP = Power it'd make more sense, but EXP is not Power in TTYD so...
Which ends up as Ms. Mowz mainly having unusual utility and little else.
I kinda learn to appreciate Ms. Mowz in the remake. Helped me a lot with 100% the game and some of the higher defense enemies
Your are the true king of Skill!
3:28 i was literally screaming, "YOU INSUFFERABLE WOMAN!!!!" It's so stupid.
I remember playing this when I was younger and I got stuck at Poshley Heights because I didn't know what to do... I _thought_ I needed Ms. Mowz at the time to make it easier but A.) I didn't know she was a secret party member, and B.) I didn't know she was an _optional_ party member... There were no guides and I didn't have means to internet back then.
I love that Brent picked WAAAAAAAAAAARIO for the viewers, you know that means that he’s a god-like TH-camr.
Starting off by becoming WAAAAAAAAARRRRIIIIO!!! Already amazing.
Ms. Mowz is great for one thing... stealing badges from enemies. I got a bunch of P up, d down partner badges from the pit and now my pals destroy everything
I can just hear the Smorgs saying "Smorg" at the same pace and voice as "Mine"
HEY WATCH OUT, IM GROOVING HERE! - Sunbaker jazzer jazzing the bloodgems
12:15 casual 51 damage, no big deal
Banger game from the king of bangers!
Yes more paper mario thank you king also RIP TCNIck3 Penguin jokes 💔
Holy hell you are so powerful in this game, when I fought against magnus I died like five times because of the stupid audience attack ;-;
Oh and you probably already know this but I'll at least mention it for others in the comments who might not know because I thought this was cool: if you have both the Wario emblem and the Luigi emblem, you have Waluigi's colors instead, I discovered that by accident!
Awwww Brent beat MvG2 too quickly...I wanted to make a crowd funding joke.
Me too, man
18:43 Funny that you should mention Mario & Luigi
11:25 Oh No! The gulls from finding nemo have invaded paper mario! 😮
