It’s the cars you want to build so badly then build it and drive it for 10 minutes put it away and never drive it again. Then when you want to drive it again you just buy another one from the auto show and build the same car because you forgot you have one already 🤣😂

I usually drill a 3.2mm hole in the thermostat, it helps the coolant get past the thermostat and makes it easier to bleed the system and it does not affect anything.
You should do detailed how to’s for wiring jimmy id literally pay for it what you teach and show in these videos has been more useful to me than my 30,000$ school. Thank you sir!

Hey jimmy! Here’s a big tip! You need a vacuum filler for your cooling systems! Definitely one of the best investments I’ve ever made for working on cars, most kits come with adapters for the bottles/radiators too. Works like a charm on any vehicle!
trust me, me and my father have the thermostat problem all the time, so we put a Schrader valve that basically ignores the thermostat and it gets the air out in 5 mins vs 1 hour of squeezing pipes. we also do the hole trick the help it even more like it did for you.
I have had the same issues with thermostats. Best thing i find is to boil jug of water and throw it in cup with thermostat and confirm it opens fully then throw in the car. Also love the extra holes drilled into it lol

Drilling holes in the thermos work but the positioning of that indentment on the thermostat is usually the indicator for how the thermostat should be replaced. Some indents facing up some down. The best way to know is when you pull a factory one out, to place the new one in the same orientation : ). Try it the next time and see uf it breaks the curse
Have you ever tried just filling the block with coolant by leaving a rad hose lose and then fill it quickly slip the hose back on once its full. Often its the upper hose from the head. Then fill the rad using the cap or reservoir bottle. Works for me everytime. No need to drill holes in the thermostat
Dont get me wrong theirs some badass collection but Jimmy’s cars all got clean ass bays sittin pretty asf literally exactly how I’d build all those cars
My m8 has a Holden cruze or Chevy cruze in America and it has overheating problems. We took the o ring off the inside of the thermo so it can just flow the coolant through. It takes longer to heat up but doesn't over heat. Just as a short term fix I suppose but if it works with no problem then that's fine to.

All you have to do is remove one of the heater hoses and if you don't have a heater hose whatever you're using to block them off just remove it While you are pouring coolant in the radiator this will fill the block and you won't have bleeding issues. Another solution is Is to purchase a Is airlift kit I've actually had quite up in a trouble with the VQ Engine and have had to use an airlift many times after doing cooling system repairs

I've always said I love the Z's, especially the SR-Z but this car is coming up there. The wheels, clear reflectors/ lights with the black cover, and piping look soooo good with the moss. Even the white filter works with the engine bay imo. Not a fan of ganadors (I know. Shoot me) but I think black brake calipers would look sick behind those wheels

All K series thermostats need 2-3 3/16 holes drilled in the thermostat. We fight them in all of our swap cars and in factory stuff.
