I don't get why they quantize the guitars so hard in the recording while clearly they can play it perfectly

For what it is, cool. But this is not Rings of saturn..... this is Rings of LUCAS! it's all about what he wants, and that's wht Ian left. Because he didn't want to be a part of a trap metal band. Lucas is successful enough to start this nonsense under a new name, instead of ruining a great band.

I agree. Ian can't do his type of vocals to this..

Rings of Skrillex! But it's still metal and I like the instrumental direction they're going. I can do without the absurdly high pitched Deathcore screams.

I saw Rings of Saturn in 2018 when it was just Ian on vocals, Miles on guitar, and a drummer. THAT was honestly boring and disappointing. Trust me, the crowd was way more into having Lucas and Joel both on guitar. Every song had a moshpit and people danced. Like, not hardcore danced. Actual dancing.

I like many parts of this album but the songs are a bit too empty for an ros release i would dig it if it was under a new band name but hey i aprecciate them for trying new things and hopefully they can get to a new level of space even though its seems kinda profit oriented to make trap now.

I think it's a pretty badass experimental album from the Ros guys. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it live but it's definitely good. Chris Turner also had a really good outcome doing a trap metal type of deal on his solo album. But he probably wasn't entirely happy with it lol

man the social feedback is intense aint it...I still BELIEVE in the badn though. But sometimes you can VIBE OUT a persons motivations when they do things. like for instance if i spent my whole life playing guitar.....ask yourself why? Was it to get people to like me more??? Perhaps. BUT with that being said and everything (major ouch) we all want people to like us more so who give a fuck anyways. Thats the whole point I'm trying to make. Inner conflicts manifest as tension in the body. Insecurity. We can pick up on that. Vibes b a real thing though. And stil nobody cares. So why not just express yourself fully is the question.
