well according to poe 2 db beira resi are fire : -30, cold :75 , lighting : 0 and chaos 0. 1. test without cursed u deal ~ avg(376,526,362,449,412)= 424 fire dmg against - 30 fire resi. 2. test with flame curse u deal ~ avg(905,710,788,806,662) = 774 dmg against - 104= (-30 - 74) fire resi. 3. test with chaos curse u deal ~ avg(399,549,494,604,459) = 500 dmg against -67 chaos resi because now choas is the lowest resi. now if we do the resi dmg cal if we got deal dmg = base dmg * (1-resi/100) if we cal the avg base dmg - > 424 /(1,30) = 326 base dmg ( agnist 0 resi ) against -67 resi u shoud deal 326 * (1.67) = 521; dealed 500 against -104 reis u shoud deal 326 *(2.04= 665; dealed 774. I mean the numbers are not perfect but based on that what u showed us ur point isnt proven at all. But i think u get my idea, would like to see some real math to prove that ur points. Because we need some guys like u to myth busted and test some stuff out but put a Methode to ur clams.

This isn't the first unique that just straight up doesn't work. The prayers for rain unique that gives you a slightly different version of wicked ward doesn't work either. Granted, it's early access so bugs are bound to be present but it's still disappointing that some cool interactions just aren't available right now
@@FruitsBootG yeah it's so disappointing to put in all this thought and time and stuff just blatantly doesnt work. I get that's its early access but at least give us test dummies so I don't have to spend hours testing every little thing in the game to see if it does what it says it does
Bug 1: I would say it's a bug, but it could be that the game checks if a skill is elemental damage before it does the conversion? So it doesn't apply the line because it thinks the skill doesn't deal Elemental damage. Alternatively it could be that it only checks down to 0 resistance and not into negative values. Bug 2: Also looks like a valid bug, but the line in Allies states "Any other entity that fights alongside you and has its own stats" and totems actually use your offensive stats, but their own defensive stats. The damage increase on the Sceptre is part is the offensive part of the totem which is part of your own stats, so it's valid to argue that it should not work, albeit a bit silly. I do think the line is specifically written in this way so that it wouldn't apply to your clones, I doubt they also want to exclude totems. One way to test if the defensive part of a Sceptre buff works on totems would be to get a huge amount of Life Regeneration and then use the Guiding Palm unique that grants 50% of your life generation to Allies. It's a huge hassle to test though. Bug 3: This is a rather silly bug, it probably applies the "Withered on Hit" to the spell summoning the totem, which does not hit so it can never apply Withered. The totem uses a skill called "Vile Effusion". I know the Withering Touch support gem works with the totem, and annoyingly enough any support gems that add cooldown also add a cooldown to the projectiles the totem fires.
if it worked it would add 90% extra fire damage, heal totems, and I use archmage and flame wall on my build so enemies would have their resistances lowered to all of that damage with despair. Maybe a top tier scepter would beat it out but its hard to tell when none of them work :D
Hey man, she has already low fire resistance before the curses, check under her life bar. I'm not saying the wand works as intended, but it might be that fire was already the lowest resistance even after applying any curse. Can you check another boss? Might be that the leftmost resistance shown is the lowest even among the red ones? Thanks for the hard work!
This was the second boss I tested it on. Figured all this out on the snake boss in Keth so im very confident that it doesnt work. Also, the resistance gaps that those symbols represent are surely not 60-70% differences which is what my curses are taking away
Iv been looking at stuff about the icons. I didn't know that the icons change when you curse them or their resists change. So since I have the hand when I walk up to her, all her elemental resists should turn red since it would be based on her fire res (the lowest) that kinda proves it there but I did the numbers too
@@Doth_ Yeah they added this in poe1, res glows when the mob is weaker to that element. This monster is weak to fire, it says on poedb: Optional Boss: Yes Weak Against: Fire Strong Against: Cold Resistant to: Cold For the snake in keth, its called Kabala, Constrictor Queen and she is also weak to fire, she has 0 fire res, 75% cold and 0% lightning. They made bosses have pros and cons aparently, it might conflict with this sceptre.

I get it now, it is clearly a bug, the last mod is generic and should work with any lowered resistance, including chaos. Btw, did you notice contagion being bugged as well? I was trying chaos dot on chronomancer ( hipster stuff ) and in act 2 I believe I was cursing mobs with despair, then the curse was proliferating via contagion, but my contagion didnt have any links nor the curse. It basically acted like hex bloom from poe1.

Like 90 percent of the uniques are useless in the game. Itemization was at least fun in D2, even D3, maybe less so in D4. POE2 is mostly me farming for a better rare that would cost me like 10 divine to buy via trade cause I havent found a better mace than one I got off a vendor at level 40 something and now im 81. Just not a huge fan of game. Builds are super limited too.
@@Kingarachnis there will always be a ton of really meh uniques in poe. Some are used to level new characters though so they arnt totally trash. Luckily we only have 1/3 of the ascendancys rn so there's a lot more to come to spruce up the game
@@Doth_ fire damage does not stack this way its just converts a portion of the og damage into new fire damage since you deal the chaos of course you do less damage. your only doing fire now lowering chaos resistance doesnt do crap its not elemental you need to use only elemental curse ocult stuff wont work dif kind of system.

@@Doth_, everything on the passive tree that isn't in the Warrior starting zone is a placeholder.

It might have some use as a stat stick weapon swap for totems, but a rare sceptre just offers much more spirit and utility.
