Yes sadly it is we are just terrible at the moment Sporting played well but we are horrendous from some time now. I don't think this season that magic going to happen if it does I would be overjoyed but it seems very unlikely. Hope we at least stay in top 4.

I don't know about them but I want to give full credit to Sporting and amorim we definitely are nowhere near our best but still Sporting were so organized they made us look like a league 1 team. So congratulations for the win that you guys well deserved. But I feel sad for Amorim such a good manager why didn't he stay with Sporting you guys are creating something special there next manager may not be the same as him and he himself may regret joining United. Because sporting players played their heart out last night and probably the same every match day for you guys and for their manager. Foden winning the player of the season doesn’t change the fact that Rodri has been the most consistent and the most important player for City in the past 3 seasons. They can miss Haaland, Foden or De Bruyne and they will still win games but without Rodri, every team has a chance winning against them.

I love Pep but I think he was not prepared for unfortunate crisis like injuries and thats sad. Last season I watched Liverpool using his kids in various competitions, prepping them up for big days. When I see some of those kids now holding the team together, playing carabao, FA games to develop and winning games, while big players take time to rest. These players are not machines, and it will always takr a toll on them if not well managed.

@@jacobreichert836 Well that's exactly my question. If we're going by what is expected, then I'd argue that the 2 penalties are expected to be converted so that's an expected goals of 2. Then the 1v1 after 8 minutes, you're definitely expected to score that so that equals close to 3. Then the equalising goal is so clear it's surely that's expected with a very high probability. then the goals that made it 2-1 is just a case of putting it past the goalkeeper, so again very high probability. The variables used to calculate XG are so subjective and complete nonsense that I can't see how a team scores 4 goals plus additional shots on goal that the XG score can possibly be less than the actual goals. It's weird.
@williamredpath861 the used metrics are not really that subjective. A penalty is 0.79 not 1, for the reason haaland showed u. Overall good teams overpeform their exg and vice versa but ofc it is not perfect.
@@jacobreichert836 It doesn't really consider if a player is stronger on their left foot or right foot, whether or not they lose balance, if the pitch is wet from rain, or that some teams cut their pitch to accommodate the ball moving quicker etc. Just seems an unrealistic and pointless stat to me.
