Anna Craycroft: Only Breath, Words - Work in Progress

Anna Craycroft is joined in residence in the Theater by composer Sarah Hennies. Only Breath, Words is a theatrical production about language, identity and intimacy that has been in development at EMPAC since 2018 and will premiere next year. Only Breath, Words is a performance without actors in which the address is delivered by the theatre itself. The theater’s HVAC system “exhales” through flue pipe sculptures creating hums, murmurs, and moans while words, fragments and phrases flare, pop, and glow from grids of lights that move across the stage.

very interesting, the camera work & editing of the doc-- these places we dont' usually see in the building, then they emerge 'onstage' as instruments... can only imagine what it might be like live-- is the audience gonna be in the seats, or is the performance for camera? I should probably read the descript in full shoudn't I... ANyway I hope you guys document the hell out of this thing and post it online!
