I'm all thumbs but I am determined to make light of these instructions. I'm a butcher when it comes to doing these jobs but I am determined. One handy man next door wanted five hundred dollars to do the job and I told him to fly a kite. Wish me luck and may the Benjamin Franklin in me come out and see the light!
My outdoor lights just went out, thought it was the bulbs so I went and replace them but apparently the whole unit went out so time for me to purchase a new unit. Good step by step video
In the back of the owner's manual it says that if the light doesn't come on one of the things could be a blown fuse or the circuit breaker is turned off. I know the circuit breaker is on so I was wondering if you've ever found a fuse somewhere inside of the light that could be replaced.
I just finished installing mine and it was very easy. Be sure to caulk the upper edge of the enclosure and leave the bottom uncaulked for drainage (if water should get into the base). Also, make sure the controls are facing down. It is cloudy now, but I expect the light to be sufficient come evening.
Thanks for THE video...will order it too. You SHOULD have stood under the light so it might have shown how it really shined the yard...maybe I will do it when mine comes.
I have one with a bit different lamp head. After 8 months it stayed on and I had it hard wired with no switch, so it stayed on all night. Funny, though, it did not go on until dusk. I wanted to know how to remove the bulbs in it and there were no instructions. Also, to change the sensor and timing was antiquated in that you had to use a small flat head screw driver. It's disgusting but I guess that's what you get for 50 bucks.
I've been searching for only a security light , I do not want Dusk tell Dawn built in, I just want security light that is motion activated when some creep comes near my house at night . So, far the only one that I have found is by General Electric Motion LED Security & Accent Light detection up to 70ft, and has the option to turn the Dusk tell Dawn off. Its 2800 Lumens .
Dusk till Dawn feature will save you some electric costs & you don't have to worry about switching it off & on every night. Totally up to you. Good luck on your search.
Why can't you get someone to hold or video tape you while you give the instruction? I can't stand when people gives a demo/instruction but they want to hold the camera with one hand and use the other to open box or use it to do any demo they wish to project. Camera is moving so much that it makes me dizzy. Get the wife or kids to hold the camera while you give the review!
Installation starts at about 5:31. Thanks for this video

I just replaced the one I've had for 5 years.
The trouble shooting section of the owners manual says there is a fuse.
I can't find where it can be.
Because I have another job besides just making videos for you ;-) If you are offering next time I do a review you can hold the camera for me. Thanks
great answer lol
Thanks for this video!

I'm greatful that you took the time to do the video. I think you did a great job and your instruction is easy to follow. Appreciate it.
very helpful--from an old gal who successfully tackled her own install thanks to you
Congratulations. Rick

I have the same light what are your settings my light comes on at dusk I dont like the sensitivity settings hope you can help thanks.
If it's to sensitive & going off to much dial it back.
Great video very informative.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing your video. Am fixing to replace two of mine.
Good Luck 👍
How far away will it trigger? How wide an area is the 'trigger' looking at?
I have a question...instead of using the wiring. Can you hook up the wires to a battery instead
Not sure because you are switching from AC to DC current. Could call manufacturer I guess. Good luck.
What's the best bulb for this particular unit?
These are made with built in led bulbs not individual bulbs.
I think you did a great job keep it up
william lane 👍
This video been 6 years old. Is this light actually still working after this long???

it's bulbless using some of the new led tech, wortjless because I have 4 installed, 3 stay on 24/7 & 1 won't come back on. POS!

👍🤞
Does this light cut off at night or does it stay on very dim?
Bishop 8624 At night when motion activated it goes on high otherwise stays on low. It comes on when it gets dark. Hope that helps.
Last thing I would want is giving people a clear view of all my stuff from the street or my rear or side fence lines.
@@jhfowler2326 You are not making any sense. If someone wanted to steal from your house they will want the place to be dark, not lit up. Common sense.
thanks
Got mine off of eBay. do a search.
❤
Spend the extra money and purchase Rab
He must be from Balmer
MY LIGHT WORK ONLY 5 SECOND ON ....NOT WORK 1 ..3..O.. 5.MIN
My experience is these led lights are nowhere near as bright as the normal security lights.
I'm looking into a newer design
Led 3500 Lumen light now to replace this one to try out.
