Probably because it gets your mind off things and your just relaxing and listening to weird and strange events that seem impossible or unexplainable. Happening to others and mesmerized by everyone's reaction and then thinking what would I have done or I don't want ever to be In that situations. Helps me unwind at night putting my mind and heart into it and I am an old lady. Lol No matter the age good stories. Keeps you engaged.
It piques your interest in the world which you haven't been thoroughly experiencing as well bringing you into the present moment. We get desensitized in this world with all the constant superficial distraction and that's why so many people feel "dead inside". See the beauty and mystery around you in every moment and life gets waaaay better 💞👊💞
It amazes and saddens me to see the amount of people in the comments dealing with depression with me. For me, one of the reasons I watch is to get my mind off things but also to think about what other people are doing in their lives. If that makes sense. Also, I like to think that there are actually things out there that we don't fully understand and it helps me to hope that there is more to this life than what I feel in this moment. BUT, when I'm really feeling down I listen and wish some of these things would happen to me. Partly because I'm miserable and need something to shake my life up but also I just wish one would take me out. I don't feel like that today but I have many many times not too long ago.
Hello Mr Leaf guy I just pulled up a stump here I added a coffee machine to the stump as have night work all week urgh Your stories are so helpful Thank you !
Tell em! We got lots of stories on the bayou. Mama lives on dinner Creek.... AKA The Battle of dinner Creek. I find anyone that lives on or near the water how many disturbances paranormal disturbances that is
Thanks so much for the stories! I just moved to El Paso after living away from Texas for 16 years so I extra enjoyed this one. A lot of creepy goings on at the border.
Oooooh! Thanks for the tip! I ' m just now exploring and loving being in EP. Heather Shade had a meet up on Rim road for good stories and history. It was cool.
Agreed! Creeps me out just thinking about all of the creepy things. I doubt it will lessen anytime soon, either. I imagine more and more creepy things are arriving there everyday. Man...creepy.
Good morning Leafy Tim. First on the stump to hear about things that go bump. In the night. Hahaha I got a story that scared the crap out of me. Last night it was already dark I’m about to go outside and shower. I decided to feed the dogs first. After I fed two of them I hear the buzzing of a rattle. I strained in the dark to see and when it rose up from its coil I see it’s belly about 4 feet from me. I ran back into the camper grabbed 22 magnum rifle and a head lamp it was right on the edge of my shower so I’m glad I fed the dogs first or I might have gotten bit. It was 3 1/2 feet long and had 9 rattles. First one I’ve seen all year. LT thanks for sharing. Leafy have a safe and productive week and I will be here checking for Rattlers under my Stump. Yee Haw by Texas Borderland Spooks!! RED WHITE AND BLUE NECK
This Owl lived in the Oak tree's covering my house not five miles from downtown San Antonio for a year or two before and after my father passed. It would land silently in the Laurel tree next to me at arms reach as I filled the bird bath.
I experienced something similar but it was crow. A family member had died and we were at the grave site for burial. A crow landed on the tree near the grave. It made caw noises during the ceremony. Later a sister in law said when her native American husband before he died. Said he would come back as a crow.
Thank you for doing a series of Texas stories! I’ve never heard of the Texas Bat Man, and I’m a Texan born I the 70’s…. Gonna do some research to see if I can locate more documentation for your possible future episode on it…
I would like to hear more about this bat guy, even more owl stuff. Just recently heard some stories on strange familiars about talking owls. I love owls but that creeped me out a little lol
Funny history fact about border crossers back when, a lot of the bootleggers would wear hooves shoes so the tracks wouldn't be followed and their trail would be inconspicuous 🤣
That's true, I just come upon that fact a couple days ago. Strange facts. I'm just trying to figure out how they walked with em on their shoes? 🤔🙄, I mean I am flat footed so, that would be a struggle for me.
Creepy chilling stories once again, the last story was my favorite, another reason to stay away from those scary woods i just do not like them they are dark and foreboding to me .thanks for telling these tales keep them coming ,
Yes do a segment about the ""owl man" ,"the batman"or any other cryptiod close to that's . Maybe just maybe that is where our comic book hero idea of Batman came from. They say many of these creatures are more truth than fantasy. Maybe
Maybe others have heard different. But I have always been told La Chuza is a which who has the ability to change their form. Usually in to a owl 🦉. Likee a Mexican version of a Skinwalker.
I was born in Fort Worth and 1967 and have pretty much stayed in Fort Worth my whole life after living with friends and being homeless as a young man in my twenties I experienced something in Haltom City / North Richland Hills which is northeast of Fort Worth when I was about 25 I was walking home on some train tracks which are the old Cotton Belt Line from 1837 I stopped on the train trestle going over Fossil Creek which borders these two cities and what I saw is hard to describe it was like passengers caught in time which appeared to be pioneers very hard to describe what I saw that night but it scared me bad enough I never went down there again. It was made into a golf course 1988 and underneath that Trestle was the only way to get across the creek in those pioneer days
@David Carper. ... Yikes. Just know that ghosts are evil spirits who just pose as the departed. Satan"s army decided to scare you. That would have been terrifying though. Sorry you encountered that.
Great stories! I especially liked the first one. I was born in Lubbock, in 1953, & live near Webster, now. We first came down here decades ago to work on NASA contracts. I’d like to hear more about the bat man cryptid, and whether they’d been reported elsewhere. Thanks for so great stories tonight, and I hope you’re having a good one!
Story about a Gargoyle at the NASA in Clearlake, Tx, and big bird men in E. Tx down towards Beaumont. Big foot in Brownwood, Tx., Dogman W.Tx., Thunderbird W Tx
@@Bob-hf1ol I used to work for NASA in the early 90s. Also, my fathers family is from Brownwood, and my great-grandparents and other paternal relatives are buried there. I need to look up those stories.
La Lechuza! My MIL said this is what my daughter and I saw, when we were driving along a grove of Orange trees in Alton. It looked like a H U G E grey/black bird. I swore up and down I must have seen an escaped zoo shoebill b/c of how large the bird was, but the wings definitely, definitely looked like feathery and lanky arms. They looked wholly unnatural in their movement. I said shoebill b/c my daughter was afraid, and that helped, but I'm still unnerved by what I saw. No sounds of babies, the car windows were up b/c it was hot as devil's ass crack and I don't stop on deserted roads around here no no nope.
I have been a sensitive all my life and I live in the geographic center of Texas. I'm 63 and I have seen and heard many things that are unexplained. I have only had 1 experience that TOTALLY shook me up and that was in a very old family cemetery here
The first story, a person creature bug a rock would literally have I to breath through the mouth only to not smell a cigarette 😅 and not to mention the clicking of the lighter the cherry from the cigarette oh and the smoke 😂
I've heard feral cats mating and they sometimes sound like babies crying. The first time I heard them, it was quite unsettling, until I figured out what it was.
Ok so just throwing this out there out of sheer curiosity, So I had an encounter with some kind of seemingly spectral headless dog, and am just wondering if anyone else from McKinney Texas, in particular, or anyone else has seen such an entity?
Yeah the bummer about the second story is his horse didn't get a drink of water he took off after the other Rider and he could have at least gave his horse a drink before he took off but you know that's how it goes. But I'm sure when this horse finally got a drink he was real happy out in the west Texas desert that place gets hot from what I hear.???
I was so sad the guy in the last story didn’t find his doggy! It had a kinda happy ending though since the doggy did return🤣 well happy for a scary story that is
A baby crying or a little girls laughter are evil spirits. Many hear them. (Unless one comes across an evil cult). A relative's neighbour had the same on their property (baby sound).
I heard about an encounter with a dogman on the southern border of Austin. One would think that would not be plausible in such a populated city but anywhere there's woods, there can be creatures of all sorts apparently.
The moth man would be a grate video to do,, real photos of it on a bridge in USA, etc countless. Sighting and attacks, RESURCH the moth man and please do a video on that, thank you, Danielle, from ENGLAND U. K 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️

He said the lack of night sounds made him ‘unnecessarily anxious.’ I’ve gotta say, there was nothing ‘unnecessary’ about his anxiety.....
That's Chupacabra country, bro! God help us all.

Brush-hog not Bush-hog.
Actually, I have been told both bush and brush .🤔
when i was about 4 years old, which would have been about 1978/79
my mum was bathing my baby brother, he was around a year old
and my mum had told me to go to my room and get in to my nightie
i remember it was dark outside and i was looking at the window
and suddenly a pair of dinner plate sized red eyes were looking right at me
i ran screaming for my mum shouting about the red eyes
and even though my mum didn't see the eyes, she does remember how upset and scared i was
i've often wondered if it was just a child's imagination or something not known
it wasn't car headlights cause the back of the house faced fields and it wasn't a person cause the bedroom was on the second floor
and we lived about 2 miles from the village with the nearest house about half a mile or so away
back then we lived near a small village called Chipping in Lancashire in the UK
there were quite a few strange happenings at that old farmhouse
anyway just thought i'd add my tuppence
