I've never experimented with it myself, but I believe the functions are in Sigma Studio for programming DSP so it should be possible to try for anyone that likes a bit of DIY.
They should make noise cancelling speakers using the microphone. Better sounding speakers that cancel out room noise while listening to music or watching movies
The noise cancelling opposite phase still uses I believe EQ, you have to for Voice! you can't block people's voices that would be dangerous, mainly at machinery noise frequency that is blocked
I recently bought myself a set of Bose Quiet Comfort ultra. Over 400 quid! Not everything they are cracked up to be. Some head movements pause the video. Lift the left can to scratch your ear also pauses the video. And you cannot switch these features off with the app. Another thing the app is basic and very limited and the HMI is poor. The cup material is PVC so making your ears sweat - a top notch cotton-based material would be much better (very poor for the money). Yet all the reviewers rave about them, which has dented my faith in some reviewers. Perhaps you should develop a PS Audio set that work properly!
Incredible earbuds. The noise cancelling feature works very well and the hearing aid feature is a game changer. My wife and I are in the 70’s and couldn’t believe how well they work!
They have for quite some time, but... then they also put microphones that picks up engine and exhaust noise so you can get a "racy sound" inside the car. 🚗 🔊🙈

I have had several pairs of the Bose variety of noise cancellers, all with old school wire. They work just fine in noisy environments. Not so good for just listening at home though, as they have a background noise all of their own. Great for air travel, poor for home use.
You should be able to turn off noise cancellation for use in quieter environments though. Most NC headphones have settings for noise cancellation, ambient sound (enhancing the environmental sounds), and "off" for use as normal headphones.
i wonder if this technology could work on loudspeaker room colorations especially lower Hz 16 to say 35... just a thought. Thanks for sharing Paul.

We need a PS audio version. Just throwing that out there Paul. Ps audio headphones 🤔🤔
Fun fact, some airplanes have used planar drivers in cabin to reduce engine noise.😊
They were developed for (possibly by) the British RAF in the 70s to reduce cockpit noise and always were reversed signal based, never EQd

I have a set of the same, helps on a long flight even when there is no signal coming through it.
I love the AirPods Pro 2

Why don´t car manufacturers use active noise cancelling? Would be great to cancel road noise.
They do. Well BMW does
My Acura also had active noise cancelling.
It's a standard feature in many premium cars. I know Land Rovers have it in RR and RRS, possibly Velar too.

its cheap to make and I feel all cars would benefit from noise canceling, especially cheap cars.
i would never fly w/o my NCH.
They bother my ears. Had to disconnect the mics in the car (which has noise canceling).

Good morning!
...or good night, depending on your plans. I think I'm going to bed in a few minutes. 😊💤
