I wish the brothers would have pulled their microphone stands further to the back of the stage giving Michael more space on the stage to cut loose. I later read that he hated this set up for Billie Jean on this tour; but worked through it. But at the time this video was released in December 1984, we all thought it was great. Billie Jean was executed better than this on his solo tours. He extended the breakdown at the end of the song on his solo tours; and absolutely KILT it!
Agree, man. Dont get me wrong, the brothers are good. I watched Human Nature in a Victory Tour as well. Even online, I got annoyed listening to it by the brothers as backsingers. Cz backsingers supposed to be not dominant (voice) than the singer. And I could tell by just watch it that Mike got annoyed a lil bit. There were several times he didn't sing when it's the reff, cz the brothers' voices.
@@Emmanuel010yes, another good example, Human Nature/ the Victory tour. The brothers were damn near lined up with him. I wish they would have fell back some and give him that moment. But have you seen Human Nature on the bad & dangerous tours? The execution was clean, precise & free...I tell you what, the 1st leg of the bad tour was a better version of the Victory tour with the song Thriller and a couple of songs from bad.
@@freddie-fred5979 Indeed man. Absolutely, I watched all the tours. And damn right on Bad Tour, Human Nature version there so fucking great (as well on Dangerous tour). Very clean and far way better than on Victory. I found a Victory Tour video on Tiktok (just coincidentally scrolling. not looking for comparison) and the caption was "Victory Tour is just Chaotic mostly". Lowkey I agree. And as we know Mike is a perfectionist, right. He always gave out the best the greatest of him. I'm pretty sure he couldn't take control all for him on Victory Tour cz the credit is for The Jacksons. Not for himself only, although he's the leader (singer) and played the most contribution. But it was as a group. Not as his own credit.
@@freddie-fred5979 And for addition. How he could through it though he hated the set up? Cz again we know that Mike is a perfectionist professional. I'd say 100% he always.. always can take care/handle/cover everytime there was a mistake on live performance. Both as group or solo. Not only his solo tours. I also watched all of his tours since a baby J5. At that very young age he could handle it. For example, I think one of J5 EU tour in 1973. Mike's voice there was in crack phase of puberty. As a male we know how difficult that phase for singing in high pitch. And he was strugling alone there but he could cover it incredibly. If u watch closely the brothers were notice he struggling. It just shows Mike is that very discipline in practice and determined to learn more greater. We can compare it to other kid/teenager singers whose can't handle the kind of situation. Instead mostly they're the one who make mistake. Other example is Chris Brown who once had an opportunity perform Thriller in front of Mike at a show, he fucking mess it dude. Like literally his singing voice didn't match with the music instruments going. Also Alicia Keys, one time when she surprised by JayZ. Goshh.. she lost. Just mess around. And many more examples. That's why he inducted as the greatest entertainer in the world and of all time. He work fucking hard man since 5 years fucking old.
You see, even that time people think that this is gonna be the biggest concert but the fact, He didn't even started yet!...after every concert how good was it.its getting better and better
Je suis fan depuis 30 ans maintenant et je suis toujours aussi surpris de ce qu’a provoqué cette immense star dans le monde de la chanson et de la scène. C’est une icône de la pop qui sera gravée dans l’histoire. Son talent est incroyable. Bravo
At 0:30 it says that the date of the tape is October 19, so that means they took footage from before that day. So the footage is not Cleveland or Los Angeles. I don't know for sure what concerts they used, but it's thought that Chicago, Buffalo, and Pontiac are used.
This is when he was America's darling, even people that weren't into music loved him, metal heads were trying the moonwalk lol he lost that in the late 80s sadly.
@@johnsonmark65 what did he lost sir. I mean the world was ballistic for the Bad Tour in 87 and 88..America was where he was Born. Michael Jackson was bigger than America
Ahhhh this the video they put out back then.tjought i was some exclusive joint lol. An its definitely different show dates merged together....still amazing though
This clip is definitely NOT from Cleveland. The Victory Tour concert was at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium, none of this footage was filmed there. And yes, I was there. Secondly, for those who think the bg singers were too loud, that’s not the brothers fault, that’s on the sound technician. But no one harmonizes with MJ like his brothers, hands down!!!
The best dance performer of all time! unrepalceable.

In terms of a dancing performer, absolutely.
In terms of everything, YES!@@smith9808
Wow Michael Jackson love you so much MJ 💜
I remember seeing small clips of this on Moonwalker. It was the first time I seen him do the moonwalk in a circle. Still blows my mind till this day!
Victory tour is the best of his 3

It's a splice of a few concerts - but 2 of them are from Philly and Washington. I went to one and my aunt went to the other one.
Michael Jackson throwing his hat into the crowd is like throwing a human into a pit of zombies. 😂
