I wouldn't want the meta to be having to get good at turning your controller upside down mid battle against shinji so you can play like you're using your normal controls. This is a fighting game not Mario party lol
Yep a Mix character is the best outcome because Shinji in the series doesn't just invert perception, He Mixes every sense constantly, Imagine tryna fight a character that constantly changes your buttons back and forth makes your screen an epilepsy warning AND Inversing the game's audio. Like who tryna fight allat😭

If they make a sequel where he actually uses his Bankai instead of Hollow Mask, then I’m guessing they will do that 10x by making his movements look unpredictable. Much better than controller reversal because that would be too easy to counteract. I played a game called Midnight Club 3 that had a similar debuff to other cars (controls reversal) and you kinda get used to it. If they made the controller setup constantly changing then that would be unbalanced. No one would play any other character and you’d see everyone playing Shinji.
Maybe if we ever get Bleach ROS 2, with TYBW content, they might try to implement it with a different approach. If some are complaining about Shinji, just wait for Shunsui. Literally a "Game" changer, Mr. POGchamp!
I think he will only appear in the game without an arm if he has a version where his Awakening is Zanka no Tachi, since the game only goes up to Aizen's defeat. I think it would be cool to have a version of him who only uses Hakuda like when his flames were sealed.
With Shinji, I wasn't disappointed that much for his inversion ability to be left out, cause when you properly think about it, adding an ability like that, especially in the awakening would lead to a lot of people maining Shinji and multiple rage quits and complains leading Bandai & Tamsoft to Nerf Shinji since the game would be quite unbalanced... But that's my opinion, you're welcome to object or debate.
We still don't know what happens afer he uses his Sp2 move, they dont show any gameplay after that, so they may be hiding something that aplies some sort of confusion to the oponent, i dont think its straight up invertion of controls but maybe something similar, we'll just have to wait and see

I got ideas for captain Shinji cause he should definitely atleast confused the opponent in some way just give him lots of 50/50 in shikai and in bankai make random characters randomly attack the opponent every 5 second can be guardable but hard to deal with when comboing. Just to keep his essence. Another idea is making his bankai make Shinji stay in his cocoon while random character based on the opponents faction fight for Shinji and the opponent has to take you out of the cocoon state to revert the bankai state something like that would be awesome.

No this game is only gonna cover up to the ending of the arrancar arc for now. Theories of future DLC maybe adding in other characters from other arcs but TYBW and Fullbring are enough content for a full other game

I think they could've done something more visually with Shinji I know you can't make he's moves inverst people's controls, but I feel they could've incorporated that feeling into the moves visually. Like for example in that unblockable move they could have had one of his hits be him attacking upside down, or on certain stages they can just flip the map upside down when he awakens. You don't have to break the game to make it feel more like Shinji when you play
