    The farmers who cannot afford pesticides or other chemicals will be growing organic yams which should sell at much higher prices.

    What do you do with the cutting do you plant them directly into the soil or do you use toothpicks and a glass of water to let them root ? That was a very important aspect that you didn't include in your video .

    No chemicals!
    Use wood-ash and (food grade)diatomaceous earth (both harmless insecticides) & baking soda (fungicide) in solution.
    Occasionally spray plants as they grow with same solution for chemical free product.
    Use this process for all your plants, flowers and trees.

    Does anybidy know how long a mature harvested yam can stay before cutting it in mini sets. This i ask because the yams have to be imported to my country before preparing them into minisets and putting the in the soil. and which between hot and cold weathers is the favorable for yam farming?

    I see some people using cement to treat their potatoes, can it also be used as an alternative to wood ash.

    Good afternoon sir please after the woodash what is the name of the other chemical you used before you dried the yam, and I'm also curious about the way you cut the yam so small I thought that the growth and the bumper of your harvest depends on the size of the tuber of Yam you planted,pls Dr I'm interested to more Mrs Eshemokhai

    • @inubaye2030
      @inubaye2030 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes since he doesn't respond to questions I'll help you out. What he demonstrated can never give big tubers.
      The bigger the heaps and yam setts the better for the tuber to harvest.

    Sir, your video just proved that school is scam when it comes to practical aspect.
    I just watched a video of a farmer who didn't study agricultural science and it's very much educative compared to yours. Also he replies people's comments but you don't reply comments despite knowing that your video is vague.

    I would think that using a solution, or rather a dilution of neem
    oil would work. It is a natural insecticide and fungicide.

    Thanks for the information, but instead of chemicals being used can you suggest a more biological or rather, organic method of treatment.. for some of us that do solely organic planting, these chemicals used are dangerous for health and will not allow the crop to pass organic testing to be regarded as certified organic crop in the Western world where we plant.
