Catching Giant Trevally at Brother Fishing Pond | Malaysia 2022 | Catch and Release | GT Pond |

In this episode we are fishing at Brother Fishing Pond, which is just across the border in Malaysia. This pond has two separate ponds that you can fish, one being their catch and keep pond with barramundi, grouper and some snapper species. The other being their private booking pond, which is purely catch and release. The species inside their CATCH & RELEASE pond include, giant groupers, huge barramundi and giant trevally. Since I arrived earlier than the rest, I decided to try the catch and keep pond but sadly I didn't land anything there. It was worth trying though!
During our catch and release pond session (4.30pm-7.30pm) I only landed 3 giant trevally in total as I was having a hard time "cracking the code" for this particular pond. The guide who will assist in landing the fish and making sure you have a sufficient amount of bait throughout your session was really helpful and shared tips on how we can further increase our catch rate at the pond. I will be sure to apply what I learnt from him during my next trip there and, of course, share it with you guys!
