Your homepage primary keyword (h1) is usually the overall theme or main service that your business provides. Each page on your site has a purpose, and the H1 should clearly state that purpose.

Thanks! Question - does text in a second canvas view contribute towards the page’s SEO?

Yes. Everything is visible in the code so when Google scans your site they can see all your text content (even if its hidden behind canvas 2)

Great video, thanks for explaining text tags! Just getting started with Showit SEO. Can you have more than one H1 text tag on the same page if you have multiple key headings on a page? (ie: on a services page you offer 3 service types, should each of the titles be H1 or just the main title at the top of the page?)

Hey there! You will only want to have one H1 per page. Your homepage H1 will be describing your overall business (i.e. Scottsdale Interior design). Services on that page will be H2s or H3s. If you have individual services pages then the H1 for each of those pages will be your services (i.e. home organization coaching, single room design, whole home interior design, etc).
