Much as I enjoy the Christmas season I think starting so early puts too much pressure on so many families who cannot afford it. Escapism is one thing but the harsh reality is people will go into even more debt trying to aspire to the lifestyle of their favourite vlogger. Life is not all pumpkin spice and all things nice. Getting the balance right for your audience is key. You have good content variety, better than a lot of other channels. Congrats on 500k.

The polar express is the one we watch every Christmas Eve, it’s our little tradition, we all cuddle up on the settee with hot chocolate and a massive throw over us and watch it in the dark with just the Christmas lights on 🎄

I’m not a mum but I’ve been a carer for a parent for the better part of my life so far, and I’ve recently moved out to live with my boyfriend and I’m now discovering who I am now I’m not caring for someone 24/7. And I feel lost most the time, but hearing you talking about being excited about discovering yourself made me feel better about it too ❤

As far as not knowing who you are, you are the same Gemma but have evolved into an incredible mother and all that goes along with it and it just doubles your goodness. Sounds like Noah has the same problem as me at the minute….ever since the clock went back I’m waking an hour earlier. Well, technically I’m not…my body is waking at the same time every morning but it just LOOKS like it’s an hour earlier. Lol. We always watch Muppets Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve so we can join in singing ‘There’s only one more sleep ‘til Christmas’. I’ve been doing this since my kids were very small and they are all in their 20s now. It’s our wee Christmas Eve tradition. November and December are my favourite months. It really IS 🎶the most wonderful time of the year 🎶

Depending on what I have going on, I always watch the polar express on Christmas Eve so that it either ends right at 11:55, or I start it at 11:55. It's my all time favorite Christmas movie!!!

When you have a child Christmas becomes more magical than just being a couple etc and Noah has all the excitement of Christmas to come .I can still remember sitting and looking out my bedroom window to see if I could see santa 🎅 and getting my brother up not long after my parents went to bed to open our presents.

On the bedroom, I'd try swapping out the lampshade and maybe swap the curtains for heavier material to help with the cosiness - the industrial chain and the airy curtains that are letting lots of light in are pulling away from that proper cosy vibe, also something above the bed either art, personal pictures (part of cosiness in a home is making it feel like people live there and it isn't a hotel) or a wooden wall art piece! I'd also agree about switching out the mirror, as it isn't your wardrobe room you could do with a thin console for storage since your bedside tables don't have any so for books you're reading, framed pictures, flowers/candles etc, those personal touches that again help with cosiness and a mirror above it to reflect the light during the day!

I'm in a different season and within that season I need and love different things which is a wonderful challenge. Some seasons have more challenge than others but it's not a definition of who you are it's a season in your life 💎 that's helped me and you help me such alot. Love your bedroom it looks so cosy and very inviting. I remember feeling so lost when my last child started playgroup, I looked in the mirror after dropping him off and said ‘who am I?’ I’ve had another transitional time when I felt so lost when they all eventually moved out of home. Empty nesters is a thing. Now a grand mum of 3 beautiful little ones it is another transition of rediscovery. I’m a whole different person and building businesses in between is such an incredible ride. Life is amazing and crazy 😜🥰 your children a mirror of discovery. Big hugs to you Gemma xx
