Just watched the whole thing beginning to end. What a brilliantly timed production wow. This must have been one of his proudest achievements at the time?.. He had absolute genuine love admiration and respect for his guest performers , and it is quite beautiful to see him share to his audience , his roots , what made him , and what a fascinating spectacle to see him blending his Hollywood , Las Vegas style of act with real down home folk. Its who he is, and at that, he is able to bring something unique to the tuxed up swinging package. I would bet a lot of people would be surprised. The talent to carry it all is off the charts.
I wish Wayne would start playing the steel guitar again, maybe just once every show. If I saw him I would ask him. Maybe someone will give him the idea. As gifted as he is, it would not take him long to accomplish this. Never to old to take the instrument up again. The spirit never gets old. Time is nothing.
Can anyone tell me exactly why and when his voice changed so drastically? Here he sounds as clear as a young boy - just a few years later: a completely different voice. I mean, he was already an adult here - so how came the change in voice just a few years later?
