I saw "Wayne Newton's show" at a smaller venue at Lake Tahoe in 1986, for $15.00 a person, including one drink! Newton even remarked, "For this price, I don't want to hear any complaints!" The show was great & lasted over an hour! He's a multi-talented performer & deserves to be in the top echelon of entertainers!
I took my sons, 27 & 25 opening night 2022, and we absolutely loved it!! Learned Wayne has recorded and released 165 albums!! I’ve acquired 15, only 150 more to go!!
One of the best voices ever, he had so much talent, and I’m not surprised that Bobby Darin encouraged him, he was a great singer himself. There has been marvellous singers in my lifetime, unfortunately as I live in Great Britain we unfortunately didn’t hear much of him, I’m so glad my DNA is Italian as we have music in our souls ,
I remember him on Porter Wagoner Show. I think Liberace was the biggest draw but Wayne has been around longer. He has I think one hit song that's fifty years old and look what he did with that one song. That is an entertainer!

So I'm watching Bonaza and I'm like who is this lady playing this man singing..I've seen the episode several times and today I decided to do research..found out it was Wayne Newton..I i lt know the name and the face sometimes..never knew this was him .but to hear the story on how they changed his image and voice this was great to see.never knew this much about him until today..love how he stormed Johnny's office..lol dope
It’s sad that I live in America all my life and have heard about him since the 80’s but I was never interested in finding why he was so famous. But I now know. He was especially amazing when he was a teen and a young man. Beautiful voice, great songs and amazing performer.

In fact, he was actually crowned "Mr. Las Vegas"...one of the last TRUE Vegas entertainers...still remember being a kid and watching his many appearances on Saturday nights on The Jackie Gleason Show. Jackie Gleason was long credited for "discovering" him. His longevity in the business is a testament to his immense talent and perserverence.
I wonder how many times somones yelled can we make pasta as his show, just as a joke to Vagas Vacation and his role on that film. Im not even a fan but the fact he did a movie poking fun at himself is tottaly classy and funny.

It certainly can't be 8,000 shows because if we take, let's say 30 years, that would be 10,950 days in 30 years divided into 8,000 - would mean that you almost saw a show once a day.
