Crazy how around hour 1 is where chris finds the piano stabs And then builds a new bass line around it! Thats where his new song 2 am to yuma is birthed. 😂 From a piano stab legendary. Sometimes experimenting and letting your curiosity wander can lead to something beautiful.
This perfectly describes a lot of Chris Lake's songs to me. They always sound weird to me at first but then sound so amazing in a live setting. So sick
Ahhhh yes... the problem of working out what genre of house you want to make with every refinement of the instrument you're editing. Hence the difficult decision to decide on a new alias.
Hey love the videos, I'm in the middle of producing a track at the moment but because I am relativity new to producing I really am struggling. I am trying to create what I can only describe a a pitch riser effect. Now I understand how to do a pitch riser but for the life of me I just can't get it sounding the way I want. I trying to make something similar to 'Cold Act Ill (Wolfgang Gartner Monster Mix)'. The effect can be heard at 32 seconds into the track but it's really is an element that in very prominent throughout the entire track at different time. I have searched all over YT but cant find a tutorial that covers it. If you could give me some pointers I would really appreciate it.
if you can do a pitch riser effect with a synth (automating pitch up) then assign an LFO to the synth's lowpass filter and automate the RATE of the LFO to go up along with pitch. Make sure that the LFO has "sync" turned off.
@@OfficialRedux cheers, going to try that out tonight, I'm using serum and I am getting a little bit closer every day. I'm just starting to understand these LFOs.
Not sure if its the same thing im hearing in that song but is it the noise waving in and out? try a ghost Sidechain channel, duplicate your kick pattern into a new channel, turn the channel off so no audio comes from it and sidechain the riser/synth you're using with a high ratio / low threshold on the compressor and see what you get.
he uses waves alchemy drums a lot but at the end of the day the. you know what your doing you can really start to make your own sounds with synths and other plug ins
get scaler2 do ya self a favour makes boring house music into liberace techno...i use is as a referance/ and fillings... makes magic happen and forces you to mix for final mix on channels! no fricken brainer pluggin. super frickin easy to use!
Rewatched this whole thing in 2024. Hits even harder.

Try with a low pass filter and some reverb together

There are 17 year olds making infinitely more interesting music than this dude. Go watch the disclosure streams and actually learn something..
Tech House isn’t for everybody I suppose, but Chris Lake is super talented and he makes a lot of other types of House music.
Pussio
where is your livestream, record label, agency???
Lake probably ghost produces for all the 17 year olds.
That's mean you know about music more then my grandmother congratulations 😂😂😂😂 you don't know man's no hot
