  • We have had the Durango Tow N Go for 3 months now. We have had one issue with it. The UConnect Box always needs to be serviced no matter if it is taken into the dealer or not. Other than that, the vehicle gets a bad name on build quality. But why? It is on par with any of non luxury brand and you get a smile every time you drive it! What can be better? Not to mention the 8700 pound towing capacity. Tough to beat!

    I've watched all 3 of your reviews and found them to be quite informative and well-done. It seems that you're not as enamored with the Durango in this review as you were in the first 2 though. Is this due to the reoccurring service problem and the Pirelli tires not handling as well in the snow as you had hoped for? Also, does this vehicle have a true 4-wheel drive mode or does it just have various configurations of all-wheel drive?

    • @orangeblockgarage
      @orangeblockgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Pirelli tires are not great… it is a quadratrack 4 wheel drive system as based in the Jeep Grand Cherokee. I still love the vehicle but the tires need to be correct

    • @markn4526
      @markn4526 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@orangeblockgarage Yeah, it seems that Dodge went more for dry handling performance than snow performance with the Pirelli's. It's still a great vehicle and tires can always be changed. However, there may not be much of a choice in the size required.

    Thus is a vehicle I am interested in, and it's #1 on my list. May I ask, how's the roof liner holding up? I heard that most are pretty loose as they seem to detach.
    Does it have massaging seats?

    • @orangeblockgarage
      @orangeblockgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      No massaging seats... Would have to step into the Grand Cherokee to get that. Roof liner is perfect. No issues with that. This is the most fun SUV you could buy on the market besides the SRT or Hellcat version.

      I’ve had 2 Durangos, and currently have about 90k miles on my 2017. No issues with the roof liner unless that’s a new quality control issue. The only major issues I’ve had were the water pump and an oil leak around 85k. The Durango is a great SUV and I think still has a killer look, but it lacks a bunch of tech that other comparable SUVs have (no 360 camera view and the rear view camera quality hasn’t been upgraded since 2014, no power folding side mirrors, no pano sunroof option, no digital rear view mirror, no hand’s free power lift gate, and some other more minor stuff).

    Seems to be a common issue on the 21-22 model year. Out of quoristy, how is the ride quality as I'm debating on trading into the 22 but I've heard mixed reviews.......

    • @orangeblockgarage
      @orangeblockgarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ride quality is excellent. There is normal, which is like a typical large SUV, sport with stiffens the adaptive dampers, and track, which makes the dampers very stiff. Overall, I’d give it an 8/10. It’s good

    So just from a few other videos of owners with the same vehicle, I’ve noticed that there are different variations of the R/T i.e. Sunroof, Rear Middle Console, Speakers… however my biggest concern with the difference between my R/T is the fact that it has no growl in the exhaust. Every other video I’ve seen, has a nice sounding exhaust. Mine is relatively quiet compared to what I’ve heard. Is there suppose to be a variation of exhaust when it comes to this vehicle? Did I do the “break-in” period incorrectly? I had a 2020 Challenger R/T before this truck😢 and the growl was beautiful.. no comparison with my Durango. I don’t want to buy exhaust,or tips… but it’s looking that way. I need answers kv
