@@Brandinisnores Ripa was very hated among the Sangheili and was everything that the Arbiters weren't. But because of his rank they had little choice but to obey.
Last vid, I found out about Adam , this time, that you can trap the Scarab with an infantry unit in a tower. It probably works because the Scarab can only shoot horizontally, but when the marines are elevated, it gets stuck shooting at the base of the tower.
You're doing great! I would offer up some advice though: once your economy is set - constantly be building units. Try and push to max pop all the time. The thousands of supplies you have won't do you any good unless you're turning them into DPS.
You should get into the habit of upgrading your bases to Fortress then building 4-5 upgraded supply pads per base as quickly as possible, then you'll always have plenty of resources, but you would have to limit 1-2 buildings for unit production.
I never made it past Arcadia City, so I'm going to "finish" this game by watching your playthrough! Thank you for being such a great leader, Commander Chief Lucy 🫡
This game really does have some tough levels especially if you are a first time RTS player. Especially Shield world. I was hard stuck there for an embarrassingly long time.

@@LUCYJROBYN Ripa is actually so large that the armour he is wearing isn't even the original that our Arbiter, Thel wears. Because of his size Ripa had to get a completely new suit of armour tailored specifically for his stature, which sort of makes him unique among the rest of the Arbiters.
You can add a second reactor for less resources than upgrading a reactor. Bases need at least two turrets. One for aircraft, one for personnel. The more you expand a base, the harder to destroy. When attacking alien bases, destroy whatever thing is attacking you most. If aircraft destroy that, if personnel destroy that, if tanks destroy that. It’s easier to destroy individual buildings in a base than the whole thing. I usually destroy the more important parts before I destroy the base. Often with limited resources it’s best to only upgrade a few things like squads, and aircraft, or tanks. Spartans can hack and take over alien craft use the secondary action to grab a wraith or banshee for example.
Always remember when healing units/building/vehicles, to always make sure they’re aren’t taking damage as they’re being healed, it cancels the healing ability and wastes the heal. But using the healing while they’re attacking does heal and doesn’t cancels the healing ability. Oh and I’ve been watching you since Halo CE and Call of Duty and whenever you give that genuine reaction it takes me back to the times I used to play those games for the first time and brings back memories. Another game you should try in my opinion is Starfield idk if you would like the story telling, player interactions and the neat customization or or building, but overall I would like to see how you would play the game and how you would make your character.
I am really happy to know that you are playing Halo wars! It's an awesome game. Ando don't get why many people skip this masterpiece. You are the best!
You're doing very well! Doing base building/sending reinforcements while fights are going on is the hardest part of rts, and you're getting the hang of it. I will hold myself back from backseating too much, but I will give one piece of advice: try using the cover positions more often. Marines in cover are super tanky, if you have other units dealing damage while the enemy is focusing on the units in cover you can trade blows cost effectively even when outnumbered. Also looking forward to ODST, I'm sure you'll love it!
I loved watching this video particularly the dome of light. The hardest mission in my opinion. Getting rhinos to the first second and third positions is a mistake early on because it makes the covenant extremely more aggressive and they get upgrades for all their infantry. Hunters get an upgrade called Spirit bond after you put the Rhino on position 3& replacement for #1. That upgrade makes them do 40% more damage and have a little more HP plus they are more dodgy from grenades tank shells and stuff. You can't control the ODSTs that get dropped but you can heal them. Also there are two bonus reactors you can stick an infantry unit in (even a Spartan) and So you will only need 1 regular reactor if you can claim both I found it's good to get your full population with all the upgrades before you put your rhino even in the first position. Sorry my comments are confusing. Sort of all over the place. But I just watched the first hour. So I'm guessing you are doing better on like the 8th mission.
Yeah Arcadia was always a tough nut to crack so good on you for sticking through it. Ah the Flood. Be weary of your infantry. Also this was the UNSC's first contact with the Flood. Yet neither the Chief or Cortana knew about them 20 years later. How ominous.
I spammed the small supply pads then warthogs for the arcadia city mission, eventually there was too many for the covenant to handle It's so much fun using the infinite mac blasts if only for a tiny bit
Past Lucy is green non longer. Serious Lucy is here. Let's go! 😂 Fascinating watching the change in your commentary and overall demeanor. I love it! 😇 But don't let this war change you Lucy. We still need the tough and caring Chief Lucy. The one that wants to save all the civilians 🙂
You did great playing Arcadia City. Its arguably the most unforgiving and luck based mission in Halo Wars especially on Legendary difficulty and if you’re going for the gold score.
The blue dots allow you to put infantry into cover which I believe gives them a defense bonus. If you have to hold a point they are good spots to camp a marine unit to watch your back. Infantry can also occupy neutral reactors like you saw on the Rhino level, Dome of Light. Jerome, Douglas and Alice can also board enemy vehicles to make them yours and it's best to take them before you damage them too much.
If you put Marines in cover, they use the rocket launchers and grenades by themselves. If you put them in the towers, they will shoot down the transports. And banshees or at least damage them enough to wear. When they get near the base the base takes care of it
Went and bought and played Halo Wars just so I could watch your videos without getting spoiled for the game. No regrets... except you know, Regret the prophet and the DEAR HUMANITY. 2 upgraded supply pads 1st will bring in lots of resources then an upgraded reactor. Defend with quick reaction a nd cheap warthogs upgraded asap, then barracks . upgrade base fully! Build defence turrets and upgrade to fight off air attacks vehicle depot. If you build new base supply pads and another upgraded reactor. Then upgrade everything and build any missing buildings fun times
Also, you can walk down the base by clicking on the main building. And when it's locked down, nobody will leave the base, so you can build up a bunch of dudes and instead of having 1 squad 2 squad 1 squad, 2 squad just running into the open you can do a full charge.
Just thought I'd put it out there Omega team is comprised of 6 Spartans atleast in Halo Wars those Spartans being August-099, Leon-011, Robert-025, Kai-125, Riz-028, and Vannak-134 also side note Kai, Riz, and Vannak were apart of Silver team in the Halo TV show but they were made canon and added to Omega team
1:45:28 you can see a flood combat form right in the middle of the screen. And you are not the only one who missed the thing that fills half the screen. Nearly every other youtuber didnt see it, too. Im not complaining, just trying to figure out this strange social phenomenon :D Edit: i assume its because it has nearly the same color as the background and the moving spaceship grabs the attention away from it
Yeah halo wars when I first played it was pretty tough, I don’t honk I’ll ever be able to complete it on any difficulty above the easiest, and yeah Arcadia city even on easy was tough even on easy, also quick tip if you want a achievement unique to Arcadia city, their a child in one of the buildings that if you succeed in getting him to a ship you get the achievement but it’s quite delayed, and their lore for him too lol, you still get the achievement even if the shop he’s in is destroyed
I'd advise utilizing the special ability of units more in the future, or in Halo Wars 2 if you've already finished 1. Noticed when you had the Spartans you never had them hijack vehicles or lock down Cobras to be long ranged vehicle killers.
I feel bad because you're trying to do it without putting anybody in buildings or anything like that, like the little reactors with fences and stuff, you can put a dude on there and help defend But because he's standing on a reactor on the map. That boosts up your electrical power. Allowing you to research without building 3 reactors.
My experience with Halo Wars is I would play a mission for the first time and get my butt kicked. Even failing several attempts. The very next day I’d beat the mission first try.

It's actually oddly a good thing that you completely missed the flood combat form in the cutscene (which took up like half the screen for a good few seconds but I guess you weren't paying attention 😅) because you had it revealed in a pretty cool way in the level itself
Biggest issue I see for you right now is troop management. You keep doing "All Units," which pulls units you placed for defense, and if they are in the middle of a fight it will stop them attacking for a moment giving the enemy a chance to keep shooting at them now defenseless. You can create squads, which only move some units and not everything on the map. Also Marines are great against aerial once they have rockets and can take over empty power reactors on the map, as well as set up in watchtowers/barricades, making them harder to kill. Spartans can also take over vehicles, making them tougher, and yes that includes enemy vehicles. Also start placing reactors in the back of the base, so they are harder to destroy.
