Awesome collection!! The 2.3 Cologne V6 was fitted to Cortinas, Granadas and Sierras. Different design to the previous 3.0 Essex V6. The AC is a rare thing indeed 😮
That engine went in the transit mk1 and mk2 as well I banger race back in the 90s when all the good ford's where cheap as chips I raced a lot of them wish I had put them away because I would be rich now but it nice to see all these cars are still out there .love this video 100%
@@billysdubstepsheppard9972 Essex motor in the Mk1 Transit mate, 1.7 & 2.0 V4, Factory order a 3.0 V6, they were rare! We had one as a rally service barge back in the day. I know what you mean about putting them away... In hindsight! 🤦♂️
Hi Colin another great video, what a collection of cars. And to be shown around by Prof spanners lol! He certainly new how to spin a spanner, would be great to see some of those cars finished and on the road.Nice for you Colin to be in the dry and no stinging nettles or brambles to fight through.Look forward to next weeks.Take care.😀
Hi Colin. Hope your doing good. I loved the video. That Genetta car kind of looks like a Citroen XM on the front side view. Cool video. Take care and stay safe.
Well Gramps looks like he’s in good health and those cars collection is way way breathtaking. He should get some money for selling some though.👍👍but nice old Gramps Nice video my bearded friend Nice cars….. I like the Subaru…. Me being a Subaru fan, yea
Hiya Colin-as far as videos goes, this one was special. What an amazing old guy, and what an amazing collection. The Cosworth is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
You must be like me from Leeds as Ginettas are a Garforth company certainly from 05 or your from Scunthorpe as from the early 80s up until moving to Garforth in 05. I actually thought they were only ever a Garforth company so I've just been on their Website.
I did sit in one and found that i was too short at 5 feet 4 inch i was not able to press the brake and the clutch well as there was no way to bring you forward to be safe in the seat .
A scraper completely wrotten with 10s of thousands of restoration Sapphire Cosworth is minimum £18/20 grand so the car certainly with not low but not high mileage with not too recommissioning is worth minimum £45,000/50 grand . World record for a 2 door RS500 is £650,000 think the record for a low mileage Sapphire is £165,000. I worked with someone who in the 90s when i bought a 2 years old J reg Cavalier GSi 2000. Bought his 1st Sapphire in 4 or 5 years i had my car he had 5 Sapphires last been a J reg Rouse , 1 2 door Cosworth & 2 Escort.Cosworths. Since he left the company over 20 years ago he still owns an Escort Cosworth.
Never did I ever think I would be UNSUBSCRIBING from your channel. However now I realise that your faithful followers are being excluded unless they can afford to pay a subscription I will be doing so. Good luck as I know you have a little girl to support. All the best. Janice
I’m not sure if you guys have Chrysler products in the the uk. But they put the batteries in the right fender on the dodge avenger’s and journeys also. You have to pull the wheel and inner fender to get at it. 🤦
That ginetta quite rare failure to produce a non race car from them, hilarious that alot of kit car's were road car's raced, where as ginetta race car's, rarely seen on the road, uncle had imp based one, road car, designed for raceing
Don't know why merak hasn't got an alloy engine, rover, Alfa 2.5, Insane to put horrible heavy cast iron ford engine in that, not sure ac might have one aswell !!!!?
It’s very clear that this guy knows his onions, very mechanically minded bloke. He’s got a lot of files in his fire but like me he doesn’t really seem able to do much mechanically, I say I have a body of reliant robin but the engine of a Ferrari. What a very varied collection of vehicles
The mirach can still be bought and all parts for it This was an original factor built car in devon The company are still going and is the same person who owns quantum The car is very neglected now rob put alot of effort into building this to a very high standard Its an absolute crime to see it like this The roof had a much better design before it was hacked about
That Sapphire Cosworth just sat rotting in a barn and not being driven. So sad, especially after having an engine rebuild. He will never get around to any of those cars. These hoarders never do. They are delusional. He should just sell them all off or get Mathewson's around to auction them off. It's just so sad to see videos like this.
why has he let them get in such poor condition? 50 miles on a fresh cossie engine, people would die to own a car like that and he has it left out (unloved) to the elements. guys selfish in my opinion. he could auction them off for others to enjoy especially with the way the world is going towards petrol cars.
Mr, Mike is as sharp as a tack! OG car guy! Boss Mike!! I love to talk with older folks, so much to be learned from them!
❤️🇺🇲💙
💜🫶🏼💜
He looks like an adorable grandpa...but what an incredible collection he has😮😮
Great guy, great collection. He still talks like he’s building them but obviously not touched in years, bless him. Good to listen to his stories.
Mike is still on his game! A lifetime of loving cars and restoring them. He’s a treasure and a wealth of knowledge. Great video Collin! ❤
Brilliant!
Lucky Man Mike, what a Collection of Cars. Those Bugs are worth big money nowadays lol.
Wow. Bond bug, my first ever car. Great fun to drive. What a collection. Love the AC
What a fantastic bloke. 87 years old and still interested! That's the way to be. Four wheeled Bond Bug - a lot cooler than a Smart car, for my money!

Super auta lubię oglądać takie kolekcje
The Transit never used the 2.8ltr engine due to the position of the distributor. The 3ltr Essex was used in Transit ambulances etc though.
Brilliant Colin, Bond Bugs and 2cvs what more do you need,😁
Thanks awesome cars I enjoyed watching
Hi Colin. Hope your doing good.
I loved the video.

Great video Mate l would love to get my hands on some of his cars 🚗
Yeah the 2.8 that's the Chevy version 2.8 I had in the '80s in my truck My little S10 truck
Hay Colin you should ask Mike if you could help fix some of the cars up
Save them cars!! I don’t feel that he loves them , he just wants them 😔😔
Mike should have been fitted up with a microphone, I could barely understand what he was saying, and my hearing is still very good.
Absolutely - his stories are equally as interesting as his old 'tat' (said lovingly - I do know the gentleman.)
The 2.3 Ford engine could have been from the Cortina’s. I had a 2.3 Ghia back in the day 👍
If Carlsberg did mechanics, they'd all be like Mike. 👍
You mentioned the cars were for sale, any specifics on the sapphire?
Interesting content, keep it up!🍑 ! ❣️*
Lovely old boy but you just know all those jobs just ain’t gonna happen 😆😜 Hope they do though! Ps , can I buy the cossie 🙏👌😆🤣🤣😜
I did sit in one and found that i was too short at 5 feet 4 inch i was not able to press the brake and the clutch well as there was no way to bring you forward to be safe in the seat .
The pinto lump has the fuel filter on the wrong way round.
The AC is called an AC 3000ME . . Worked on a few for the AC owners club including one with a 3.1rs engine with triple Webers 😮
Hello can you ask Mike of the Sierra cosworth for sale is?and how much would he ask for it? Greetings martin

Please tell what the music is called?
Someone please buy the cosworth if I had the money I'd put an offer in for it lol
If no one buys the cars they will end up in Scrap yard

I know it’s hard to let things go but he is to old and should know sell them on and let others enjoy them instead of letting them rot .
