yeah sounds like you missed a bit. Hoonigan kinda separated, same with donut media. DDE rents the space from hoonigan for like $35k a month. Hoonigans off doin their own thing. Hert is with T-Pain's squad now which is cool i get to see him on those vids. DDE has about 4 running cars but like 7 or 8 in total.
Nah I'm pretty sure Hoonigan never owned the building and when they moved DDE jumped on it. And i remember them saying their rent is actually over $100k/month!
They have the revuelto ,2 599, a senna, the murciélago,a gallardo scuderia,a SVJ, the Bentley continental GT, the 720GTR ,and the TRX… also they have Damon daughter Mia and Josh from PFS doing a Porsche vs a Aston Martin
Aron kauffman from fast and loud already built this car previously but it just wasn't what Damon wanted so him and Mike got to geather and designed this. Mike tore it back down to the monocock and rebuilt it so its like 4 or 5 years they been rebuilding it on top of however long it took Aron to build it
They took the F12 stripped it clean and then rebuilt the engine ( well parts of the engine ). Everything else is custom and highly functional well for now until Damon’s crazy ass breaks the car for ripping it up and down the track but I have good faith in the car especially since this monster was built by no other than Mike Essa himself. Tim as well had a helping hand in this build so did Sean so hats off to those guys

9:10 they have 2 599's (one each) Dave also has the Bentley (Dave also has a TRX as daily up in Canada) and the Squadra Corsa. Damon has a revuelto, murci, the f12, the bmw you see in the back ground, the senna, SVJ and they also have the 2 vans (one is currently being fixed cause Dave crashed it into a fence) I think thats all their current cars. Also the f12 was a brand new car that they did 2 diffrent twin turbo kits on and then they decided to go full ham and build it to its current state about 18 months ago, it isnt being built for Formula drift but Mike Essa is building it and he mentions what they do in formula drift since he is a FD champion so he has quite a fair bit on drifting knowledge. Also what your missing is they moved into the old Hoonigan shop in Compton
you should definitelly watch some more DDE vids, and if you dont want to then atleast do the Dyno vid of the F12. btw damon is also getting his 1500hp McLaren 720S back hopefully in a short time but its at Gintani now getting the engine put back in.
He built it off the gymkhana style videos, and ripping around and drifting. But he will still be able to drive it on the street, and has mentioned that he could do that and might just do that sometimes.

The f12 was originally a twin turbo street build but damon always had the dream of making a supercar version of the hoonicorn so they are making their own with the f12 and its a twin turbo gymkhana car. I highly recommend you watch some of the build because mike essa the fd champ and some others did a great job on this car
He has never gotten a cease and desist letter from Ferrari. I think it’s more if it’s a possible embarrassment to a car brand that will get a ban from brand new cars. He bought a used ready made normal car and wanted to make it into a full pro level drift car. It’s making north of 1500hp

ive been following for a bit, he built the car used and twin turboed it. then they said screw it and made it full drift car. he wont get a cease and desist from ferrari because he is not throwing the logo onto altered or non OEM ferrari panels. cease and desist happens what people change that factory panels then throw the logo back on
So what makes people say that you would not be able to just get in this car and drive it the way he is because the first day that damon got in it and drove it, he immediately broke an axle. All due to like a tenth of a second between clutch release and handbrake release.
Yes and damon is a really experienced driver he can literally drift on everything. Also he had a drift viper before. He drove a lot of Formula Drift cars before also had a few Factory Race cars and drove Mike Essas formula D BMW as well. So he's already a lot more experienced than most of the wannabe drifters.
Nah, Ferrari already talk with him when Ferrari need a recall for the brake fluid cap for f12, he even bring the Ferrari to the Ferrari dealship. No cease and desist, they only said they did and they take responsibility for modified the car.
They almost pulled the plug on it earlier this year because of the money and time, and them taking on this much larger monthly payment for the property and everything on top of that.
didnt buy it, they just took over the rent after hoonigan left last year they didnt want to reveal the video till december at the time because they werent sure they'd win the bid but for the meantime while waiting for the result they were showing other videos of looking at other places to move to the old HQ had alot of city citations after the inspection from before they rented the place they wouldnt have a place to store the cars for the 3 months they were told it would take to renovate the place but after 7-8 months it was still being renovated so it was a good choice that they decided to find a place instead of waiting

It made 1278 to the wheels with just 10 pounds of boost.. 😂 insane! The goal is 25 pounds of boost and 1600 to the wheels. 🤯🔥🔥

Also its making 1300hp on low boost and im pretty sure they pushing for 2000hp
1278hp and the boost was pushing the waste gates open at 50% of target boost.

No, this car was a complete lease car and they stripped it down to the frame and completely rebuilt the motor for over $500k.

If you drift cars there's no reason you couldn't slide this one. It would probably be easier for you to slide than a lesser built car.
