TH-cam was a very different place 16 years ago... it was fairly small, and the concept of 'TH-camrs' or even 'Content Creators' weren't really things... it was just kind of a place to share silly home movies, or silly videos with the vibe of old Flash animations, or (in this case) cutscenes from a favorite game that we wanted to share with a few people on a forum. I don't want to get into a debate about whether it was better or worse, but it was different... and you've stumbled upon a relic from that time. :)
it actually makes more sense that you think. in theory if you travel to the past you have already been in the past it isn't like if you were never there and then you suddenly changed something by going there, you've always have been there, just like whn kain says "we've always met here"
Or perhaps Mobius did, since this machine and the whole ordeal of Raziel going into the past was for him to kill all the Sarafan guardians, leaving the Circle powerless against Vorador's incursion. Remember at this point, Kain SHOULD NOT HAVE SURVIVED his encounter with Raziel in front of Williams' Tomb. Therefore, Kain could not have calibrated the machine in the first place if he wasn't going to survive. In this new timeline? yes, it's a strong possiblity since he was too in that era. But in the previous timeline? Def. it was Mobius.
History can be changed: all that is required is the right situation and the right means. But it's impossible to predict or precisely manipulate the alteration of history; there are too many variables. Consider the game of the Paradox a frictionless, almost spherical dice that has an infinetisimal number of indecipherable sides, each one with the potential to be landed on and alter history in a certain way. And when rolling that dice of fate, the stakes are higher than the stars themselves.
Brucifer Bruce Kulick The DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KISS!!!!!!!!!!!!! the like button isn't working. Sort but sweet so Raziel left the future and in other one similar he leaves the past for the future?
Hate the ideal of timetravel. And the story of the series had enough gaps to fill in as you pleased on some bits. So my take is that Mobius did not have time magic. That all the moving through time was with the will and body of the Elder God. Because it existed all at once instead of in frames of time. And any effects placed upon it was instant. Why it wanted the pillers gone. The Elder was not all knowing, just all present. And that shifts in the so called time stream it felt but like Raziel, didnt get lost to. But as like with Kain, gained new memories on top of its origionals.
I love the fact they tried to replicate the original pre rendered cutscene's time travel effects in the game's engines.
16 year old video? Holy shit! This is a piece of ancient TH-cam history!

Its a line that loops back on itself a few times but continues forward.
I bet that Kain set this Time Machine.
