You need to ride a derestricted rs125, it's a lot faster.

The unrestricted sx125 is also quite quick, I did 140km/h on mine last sunday.

@@33du27 the rs is still way faster because it has the aerodynamics of a sport bike well it is a sportbile, unrestricted they can hit 170km/h quite easily

That bike doesn’t have anything on the exc 125 like nothing! Once you try a fully powerd KTM exc 125 you will shit your pants or just laugh like crazy! Also Tm smr 125 even more fun!
Yea, i tried my friend's EXC 125 a couple of weeks ago. HOLY SHIT it was fast! My R125 was difficult to ride after it...
My Aprilia has about 36hp crank. Which is near the power of a exc. The thing about the Aprilia is that it's actually a reliable 2 stroke. On a exc 125 you can change the piston every 50 hours

Maybe, but his sx can ride everyday, an exc/mito/rs (~40hp 2 strokes) are really unreliable
I got a full power rs 125 and it's tons of fun and it can do 160 easely

It's geared for acceleration not top end....if you want a fast one you need to try the rs or cagiva mito....
Powerband probably ended at about 10k that's where you want to change up

That is a cherry SM, it seems like the engine is capable of much more with a couple more goodies, but myself I’ve always liked smaller size engine bikes reason being that the bike are way lighter and easier to maneuver from 125s to 400cc is what I have always preferred. Don’t get me wrong bigger cc bikes are awesome they look and sound Cherry but Smaller bikes seem a little more fun to me. hey just a quick question.. what gopro and ND filters do you use? footage looks amazing ;)
I use the GoPro Hero7. I never use the Auto settings the GoPro chooses, I shoot in manual protune mode with FreeWell ND-filters.
Aprilia rs 125 2stroke. 32hp from a 125cc engine, I think it is an incredible bike.
Try the aprilia rs125 fullpower, those are insane

this 2 stroke is discontinued right ? there is sx 125 4t 2018 and 2021 model i think. do you know hows the sx 125 2018 model 4 stroke?
The 2018 sx is slower than the 2020 model and the 4 stroke aprilia is pretty fun and it does not break

Chill bro he probably doesn't know about the differences in exhaust between 2t, and 4t. But I think the 2stroke life got him hooked tho would not take long for him to start learning about these things.
I'm aware the bike in the thumbnail is a 4-stroke. There were no good pictures available online of the 2-stroke SX. I have been working on a new thumbnail for this video but have been unable to finish it due to exams.

Can you get a gear indicator for this bike if so do you know of any good ones as my searches have come up somewhat unsuccessful
Yes, you can, it will take some wiring, etc to set up. Healtech has some good products!
I was thinking of buying one but not sure if im tall enough, how tall are you and how tall would you recommend i be?
I'm 5'7 and I just manage to reach the ground. If you are 5'9 or taller you shouldn't have any problems.

Looks like maybe its restricted ? My first bike was a 2001 rs125 and it was way faster ! And what i have seen on the internet the engine is the same
Its not, rs125 have ~30/40hp engines, sx have more like 20/30hp

Why engine braking isnt allowed??
It’s a 2 stroke. In 2 stroke you use fuel mixed with oil. And when your engine braking it doesnt get gasoline, and then it doesnt get oil.

You know something is wrong when a 125 uses more fuel than a 650 🤣
it actually doesnt, everything that is 125cc consumes way less fuel in most cases. For example a 4t 125cc bike can eat only 2-3/100km, while like a 400 can eat 4-5 litres. its the same with 2t bikes, but with double the consumption@@LegendsGarage

It’s a 2 stroke dirt bike. Their not built for top end! But they get their fast....
Just buy a DT125X/RE, you won´t regret it.

Bro next time learn how to learn to ride a 2T before riding one. It's a total disappointment. Heart breaking. You don't even shift properly. You don't even know what gear you are in.

As I said, it was my first time on a 2-stroke. I will learn by trying. 💪
