Fixing a Bachmann Class 25 that won't run properly

    One tip for you is if you re taking loco's apart use a screw top off a coke or squash bottle to keep the screws in then they don't get lost.

      I do have a couple of suitable trays, but they are all in use at the moment. I should have a clean up and finish some other projects...

    Hi I have a bachmann 25 that’s just jerky on slow speed any suggestions

      DC or DCC?
      Mechanically, check the drive from the motor is turning the worms at the top of both bogies. If just one is loose, you could see hesitant running at slow speed (rather than a complete fail with both loose like mine was).
      Electrically, I've seen issues with the TV suppression components and DCC decoders. I've had to remove mine to get the chip to be happy with it.

    Don't use super-glue direct from the bottle, you have no control, pop some on a piece of card and use something, paper-clip, length of rod etc., to apply it. Much safer.
