In this video I teach you how you can use copyrighted mainstream music from artists like Drake, Dua Lipa and Ava Max in your TH-cam videos whilst staying protected against copyright claims and demonetisation! This video in particular focusses using this music in your gaming montages and edits but applies to literally any TH-cam video! A lot of people ask me how TH-camrs like Zishu, Connorjaiye, Ethos, Nowack, Ladiff and Frogling are able to use copyrighted chart topping music in thier videos whilst staying monetised and no copyright strikes! In this video I cover the benefits of using mainstream music in your videos like: higher engagment, longer watch time and higher clickthrough rate. I also explain why you should use music legally and what could happen if you do not licence it correctly as well as how to find, download and use the songs in your vidoes! I show it inside of Adobe After Effects but it works with any editing software!

so after taking the last couple hours of my life doing research upon research I've come to this conclusion:
1. if you want to edit, don't use any music
2. if you do edit and use music, better call Saul cause you bout to be in legal trouble
3. Lickd has about 15 songs that MIGHT be usable if youre willing to pay the $15 monthly + $8 per song or $32 flat-out fee (could still be more idk) per song.
4. somehow, people still use copyrighted songs on their edits without using Lickd which means A. they don't give af B. they got licensing another way (god knows how) C. they are gatekeeping the technique to not get striked/flagged
overall it definitely killed my mood to learn how to edit/post on TH-cam.

@@resheditz so what i found out from youtuber nowack is that you can use the music however you can NOT monetize the video. you are free to use the music but if youre looking to make money from your edits you have to find another way. he also mentioned that every video of his is copyrighted, however since its not monetized he wont get copyright striked

@@resheditz If you look at my recent Valorant montage they just don't like the text of the song being displayed, but Marshmellow is chill and allows his songs to be used. I'm not monetized so it doesn't matter if that video makes money.

Hi Rocklan, this comment is unrelated to this video but I was hoping you'd know a fix. I watched your flowframes tutorial and when it was done, it interpolated it to 30 frames instead of 240.
But what if a artist have a sample in his song. Samples that are made for a music production. I have a license for this same sample. Is there any risk that it will copyright my music for a sample that is in another existing song? I had a couple of my own songs copyrighted back in time on another web page made for uploading music. I contacted them but I didn't get an answer. And since i'm not even making money with my music, i don't have energy to make a 3-year law investigation about it. It will just take my time and energy. This is a big problem on the open market.

You can import the song just like any other media file and it will work just fine :)

I uploaded my own personal music videos for videogame trailers.
In my experience certain companies will seek to block videos from being seen by anyone except you personally. And in most cases the videos that are still up for viewers to see do not get recommended nor will they be viewable to certain regions.

I haven’t used it but I do highly recommend it from what I’ve heard if you need a free video editor. It’s one of the most powerful out there

As far as I know this will depend on the license and the label the artist is associated with. The idea behind this is so that you can use awesome music to suppliment your own content and not so much that the song is the whole focus of the video if you get what I mean. So I would imagine in most cases probably not. sorry!

Well vertical videos are fine for Instagram reels, tiktok, and TH-cam shorts, for TH-cam and Facebook will just have to edit it in 1920x1080
