Encore is a Rectifier-Welding Fusion DPS, who excels at dealing high amounts of damage during her ultimate window. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
All character guides up until now have used the 30% energy share value from the CBT2 - however, this was changed in the live version and is now 50%! This means, for MOST characters the ER requirements mentioned in the sheets and videos are wrong to a certain degree! I will add this same post as a pinned comment to ALL my videos and I have privated the verina guide. ALL OTHER INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THE VIDEOS IS CORRECT TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE!
For ENCORE, the ER requirement is now around 0-10%, and you are likely to get at least a single ER substat roll anyway, which means the guide is still very accurate!
For all other characters, I will have to redo all my calculations to find out the new ER requirements. However, I do want to emphasize ONLY the ER requirements are off!
AGAIN, ALL OTHER INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THE VIDEOS IS CORRECT TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE!
I expect all ER requirements to be around 5-10% lower for most units and around 10-20% for higher cost units like verina, baizhi and jianxin.

Finally a proper in-depth guide by someone who actually understands her kit, not just reading the skill descriptions. Good shit.
Protip: if you dodge immediately after her last basic in the combos (basic x5 in normal form, basic x4 in her ult form) you can animation cancel and recover quicker into your next skill. The last hit will still do its drop and youll already be starting up your next action

I want to mention that creating these set rotations I don't think it's end all be all because you can be creative with quick swap. We have so much freedom with how we can do dmg that there's always the possibility that there's a better rotation and different team rotations
There is already a better rotation. Sanwhua is the main driver of the team but due to encores long animations we are basically swapping between them right at the end of encores animations. Its basically playing two characters at once. I also disagree that you will never use the standard heavy attack as it gives enough time for both characters with you to come out and do their resonance skills before swapping back.

This was a great guide. I find Encore to be very fun and want to main her. I’ll sharped my rotation but early levels still the echos stats are super awesome.

Great video! I was looking through spreadsheet and was actually wondering. How do you calculate frames that each attack takes? Do you take those numbers from the gameplay footage or what? I was working on some spreadsheets of my own, but I never figured out an efficient way of getting this data specifically. The calculation & the rest of the stuff isn't a big deal, but frame numbers are.

Guys, what do I do for efficient concerto generation? My team is Encore/Sanhua/Baizhi and ngl I don't really want to stay on Baizhi for several seconds using basic attacks just to let her heal on outro... Or do I skip the first concerto completely and only stay on Sanhua to give Encore her dmg deepen?
Her English VA is the same VA who voices Regulus from Reverse 1999 and that is an absolute win for me.

If there is a 5 star fire banner coming in tthe future, can encore be a good sub dps because of her E4 (Fusion DMG increase to all allies) or is verina better?
Hey, I was just wondering what is the DPS difference between the craftable 3* weapon (Guardian Rectifier) vs the 3* you have calced. It seems like the effect is suited towards Encore very much and it has the same base stats as the other one.

i got calcharo on jiyan banner unlucky. so should i build calcharo or just ascend my danjin and level up to 60 later for my main dps (almost union level 30).
what are your thoughts on encore-jianxin-verina combo? i feel like since you said encore is mostly liberation-reliant, jianxin would pair with her really well since jianxin's outro boosts liberation dmg by 38%. also, does encore's left clicks during ult count as basic attack dmg or liberation dmg?

Love your guide ! But got a quick question. How come the priority for levelling basic attack is so low when she seems to auto quite a bit, especially during her ult. Her recommended teammate sanhua also buffs basic attacks

Does the optimal DPS rotation require 20% ER? I'm at 17% but I only get to like 60% ult charge off the beginning rotation.

Regarding 3* weapons, how does the Guardian Rectifier compare to the Rectifier of Night? The former seems to fit her kit pretty well.

6:36 A bit of feedback, for the stat goals i assume you meant 200-220%+ crit damage as it appears in game? that might be easier to understand as a viewer
Yes, I subtracted the standard 100% given to make it easier to understand, maybe that didn't work out like it did in my head
What about substats like Resonance Liberation/Skill damage bonus? Is ATK and Basic attack better than those?

got her early (about ~40 pulls) during my first set of pulls before we get to choose our desired 5 star. she's been really fun to main. thanks to this guide, i might get to seriously build and main her haha
You don't actually have to do that ridiculous rotaion right? Does she still compare to like calcharo when played normally?
@@KazekoRyu Calcharo's ideal rotation is the most intense in the game because you are swap cancelling every 2sec animation with Yinlin, and doing the same for Yinlin
Honestly, how is press ult > skill > 4x basic > skill > 4x basic > skill > forte that ridiculous? Like honest question, I even simplified the team rotation for this guide. Like, calcharo is way harder to play and requires multiple swap cancels to work properly.
@@iamrivenous Oh I don't mean that. I mean the "ideal" one where you constantly switch characters at specific times in specific parts of the combo depending on specific things. Your combo is easy to understand.
@@cerevantes1234 Yeah calcharo does have a high ceiling. I don't know how to explain it but with calcharo it "feels" like you're doing what you're supposed to be doing, while with encore it feels more like you are bending the character to do something else. I can memorize and do combos well actually. But I don't like to bother with them while exploring or doing activities.
Also, I ended up just using danjin. What I realised while playing and talking to other people is mechanics in this game are complex and you only bother with them if you like the character so waifu over meta could actually be considered meta LMAO.

is the craftable 4 star weapon for Encore worse than the Augment and the Jinzhou Keeper weapon ? or is it worse than the blue 3 star weapon too ? and its just not worth investing in at all ? because... using Jinzhou Keeper feels depressingly weak for some reason
My current team for her is Encore, Jianxin, and Aalto its reallt fun and works really well! Jianxin also heals so when I was running Verina instead of Aalto it wasnt enough damage. They pair so well together :)

For me using encore ult I tend to be able to use 3 skill if I just spam skill whenever it off cooldown and when I finish my third skill if the enemy didn’t knock me down or into the air I can immediately follow up with a enchanted charge attack

During the trial use of Encore late in the main story, I actually really liked her basic combo and stuff. I'm trying to main Chixia (damage is kinda bad right now though) and I got lucky with Verina, but I'm really struggling with a 3rd member. Encore can't come fast enough. I like the tank girl (pink hair), but I don't know if she's going to be good enough to take into endgame so I've skipped on a 3rd team member for now.
while i do understand the appeal of not going hard with meta stuff for a single player game, i remember how much i struggled to do abyss tower in genshin impact when i didnt bother with meta at all and only cared about waifus and stuff. i couldnt clear it at all. so im still traumatized by that 😭 i dont understand the inferno rider vs geohide saurian for rotations. so, with the Geohide, you have to add 2 more basic attacks and changing the rotation slight ? is it worse to go with the Geohide in terms of maximum dmg ? or is the inferno rider still the max dmg possible ? is the difference very small for DPS ? im confused by that segment, sorry.

Unfortunately Verina is her best support by far. Baizhi could work but requires a lot more work to get her to work nicely

Hello, most of Encores damage is considered basic attack damage (feel free to checkout the sheet!), so Ult dmg% is somewhat wasted on encore :(

She isn't that complicated and need a guide. It's just 2basic+skill or counter+skill to apply mark, then spam 3basic+skill. Use heavy at half charge for survivability and full charge for damage. She really needs dodging and parrying so it's almost impossible to have consistent optimal rotations.

@@marcoleung7253 I think the only thing I could add is, that you can replace the first basic attack with an e in all the combos.

My Current team is Encore, Senhua and Verina. Just to understand, you say Senhua is great with her due to Basic Attacks buff, so this buff applies to basic attack in the ult forn?
Also enhance priority, you explain Ult is #1 and Basic Attack is least priority... is it because this doesn't improve the basic attacks of the Ult form?

Her E changes during her ult, so you dont actually double cast it while your ult is active

You mentioned basic attacks are not good outside of her ultimate window, what should we do when we don't have her ult yet in earlier levels, what combos to use? i just spam basic attack and skill
Her basic quite good to pull enemy together, after finishing combo, if your gauge full, use heavy attack then immediately swap to other character (so u don't need wait for her heavy attack animation charge)

Quick question for a gacha noob what do you mean when you say double cast skill at 8:36?
It refers to how encore's normal skill is a 2-part skill: the first part is her floating and firing her lasers, then if you press the skill button at the right timing near the end of the shooting animation, she'll follow up with the 2nd part of her skill
Does Encore benefit from Jiangxin's outro skill?
I love this solo gacha. The fighting style requires technicals to dodge, counter, cancelation etc. the normal mode doesn't require much effort but increasing event difficulty does require effort to survive.
