A similar thing as with your first-ever Vivobarefoots is happening for me with my Altra LonePeaks. They fit beautifully when I first got them, then as my feet developed, the shoes started to feel small. I tried them without the insoles and that's doing the trick... for now ;~) A couple months ago I did buy myself a lovely pair of Vivobarefoot Tracker Forest boots for more rough-terrain work & hiking that would involve mud or snow. Loving them so far!
The Vivobarefoot Primus trail is my favorite ever hiking shoe. Have you tried the correct size now? Seems a bit unfair to judge a shoe when you bought a size too small.
Not in the primus trail but both pairs of primus lite I have I got the correct size and they are perfect. Vivo is the first ever barefoot shoe I was introduced to and no doubt still one of the best companies out there
Hello, which shoes would you recommend to play squash? I have wide feet, bunions, and plantar fasciitis (working on it, tho). I cannot wear my Lems to play squash.. I need extra support. Thank you
@@DrHoulihan I wear the Prima 2 and correct toes (toe spacers). My plantar fasciitis is quite chronic,. It started back in 2013, it comes and goes. I even had a couple of sessions of shockwave therapy to ease the pain
@@crazycatmadmoiselle8240 plantar fasciitis is usually not inflammation but rather a tendinopathy the same way people get tennis elbow or jumpers knee. Most of the time the problem is restricted range of motion in either the ankles, toes, or both, or if the range of motion is not restricted, it's the strength of the intrinsic foot muscles. How is your dorsiflexion and big toe extension ROM?
I know that Carets look great but I have never owned a pair. The DaVinci talmadge boot is really nice but I believe DaVinci went out of business. Softstar shoes are great too those are my go-to, still pricy but not as much as Carets
Lots to unpack with this question! Do you have any injuries to your feet? What kind of foot strike pattern do you use? What surface are you running on? Are you a new runner? Do you have wide feet?
@@DrHoulihan wow. Good Q and I guess it is a packed Q. A lot to think about. Can you make a video answering that Q in detail if you don't yet have video on it?

Thanks for the input, I'm overdue for a new pair of hiking boots and I had my eye on those Vivos. Might have to pull the trigger!

What are you doing currently to address plantar pain? Where is the plantar pain located? Do you wear toe spacers? And what pair of lems do you have?

Have you found a better option for barefoot dress shoes? I've been searching for a pair.
