Jamal Lewis loved playing against the Browns. In 12 career games against them, Jamal averaged an astonishing *127 yards per game* and scored 8 touchdowns.
As a Day 1 Ravens fan who attended 12 Ravens games that season (I was serving in the Marines stationed in N. Carolina at the time), the two things I knew I could depend on from my team win or lose was exceptional special teams and legendary DEFENSE. This was Ray Lewis' first DPOY season, as well as his Super Bowl MVP season. He was worth the price of admission alone!!
This is one of my favorite Ravens domination games. I've always remembered this. The Browns went down field and scored and pissed off the D. I don't know how many yards they got after that, but it wasn't much. The defense just locked them down from that point.
@@gregtracy9322 "We'll spot you 7 points...and then put up 44 unanswered." In six division games, the Ravens outscored the Bengals, Browns and Steelers by a total of *142-23.* Had it not been for the TD-less streak the Ravens would've went 6-0 instead of 5-1 in those games.

Good lord their front seven was scary. And an opportunistic secondary too.
I turned it off after the Browns opening drive when they drove down the field. It was clear to me they were going to dominate all day.
Opening drive they went 86 yards. Finished the day with 118 total yards.
Don criqui is amazing
Maybe that quaterback for the Browns would be better off going into coaching.
Spurgeon Wynn's(Member of the Brady 6) career was destroyed right here.
Idk what the Browns saw in Wynn wbu?
Total massacre

Lex Express the AFC Central had the Jags and Titans at that time too
Iirc they had like 40 something yards the rest of the day AFTER that opening TD drive.
Those games were much more competitive given that Jags and Titans were two of the best teams in 1999. @@christopherwaits7852
