Heather watch a bunch of grooming videos...and you can giro like a pro after a few toys...remember it is only hair and will just grow back ....no harm...no foul....you can do it you really can....

Mom ...... He sure is well behaved. I adopted a little Schnauzer female whose a daddy died about 2 yrs. ago. No body wanted that dog. She was passed around like a football and finally wound up in a kill shelter. She has papers and is registered. When I adopted her she was headed for the the incinerator the next day. My old dog passed away 2 yrs ago and I was ready for another pet. When I say her I wanted her and was told she was unadoptable. I told them I wanted her and I would sing any papers they wanted and she would never see another shelter. When I took her she acted very freightened and tried to threaten me into leaving her alone, but I understood. I had to go to another state to get her. I made a $100.00 donation to the shelter and carried her in my arms to my car and she sat in my lap all the way home. She has never shone any kind of hostility to me. She follows me every step I take and she even sleeps on a little blink i.e. At the foot of my bed. We are a pair. I love this dog so much. She guards the house and no one enters unless you tell her it is OK. There isn't enough money in the world to buy this dog. Just goes to show you what is trash to one is treasure to another.

Nice! It is obvious you love & take great care of your fur babies. I am wondering if you just might be holding that hind leg up too high- could cause an injury. Have you tried holding up one leg (not so high) and clipping the opposite leg? Just a suggestion. Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for these videos, I just recently decided to start grooming my 10 month old schnauzer! Not only was the grooming so expensive but I had a few fishy experiences with them. I've been using your techniques and my little one cooperate perfectly.
Question... where did you get that grooming table?
Do you have a video on clipping nails? I was told that black nails don't need to be clipped but that doesn't sound right to me?

I got my grooming table on Amazon for about $90, no I have not done a video on trimming nails yet. Yes you do have to clip black nails as well. All of my dogs have black nails, Mozzie has a couple white/clear nails on his back paws. I trim them as soon as I can hear them clicking on my wood floors 😊

I know you have mentioned this before, but would you please let me know the name of your clippers and where I may buy them? I have watched your grooming videos multiple times, trying to gather my courage to groom my mini schnauzer, Shadow. She is almost 6 and I have always had her groomed in the past. For multiple reasons I have decided to groom her myself. Thank you so much. I enjoy all of your videos. I could watch your minis for hours. They are beautiful and so well trained.
I like to use the metal comb as a blade guard from the clippers when I do the bum....also comb guide will square off the head on the sides and on top for eye brow length and shape....just lay the comb on the top of the head...eny eye brow hairs above the comb gets cut ....this will square off his head too...
great dog ! good videos. I wonder, since I groom my own most of the time but no idea what I am doing (so thanks for this), is going to sound dumb maybe but I don't know or I would not ask. if I kept running over and over the same area, would it take off more and more hair with same blade? Or is the blade a set level that will only take off a set length ? Hope that makes sense. My dog is half Schnauzer/half Poodle but looks mostly Schnauzer. am surprised he does let me use the trimmer on him now. Thanks to the pros doing it enough times he no longer freaks out. You made it easier to follow than some professional groomers on youtube so thank you.

If I leave the hair long on the legs I scissor cut them. Glad you like the videos :)

He is so good. Did you get him as a baby? My girl is an adoptee from a shelter in Brunswick, Ga. Her daddy passed away and his wife did not like the dog. I don't understand why. She is s sweet as sugar. I never had a schnauzer and almost everything about the breed I have learned from you so keep on making videos. I sneaked in to watch through the window at Petco and she was very quiet and well mannered, but very scared. I decided, I would learn to do it myself because I did not want her to be afraid. They were very gentle with her and I have no complaint.
wow flexible dod my dog wont do that .if his nails are not cut is it wrong?he wont let any one grom him I did what he aloud and hes getting told he has wird cheeta looking coat!ih for help what can I do to get him to let me and can you show how to use clipers please

Hi, I am from Houston TX, I love your videos with your babies, want to ask you, do you have trouble with the bumps on their skin like a cyst? My baby has 4 of them on her skin and want to know how people take care of them and keep them form spreading. Thanks
+Helen Breaux no my boys have not had bumps on their skin but I have heard schnauzers can have problems with this.
If you also have a schnauzer they are called schnauzer bumps. Their skin is very sensitive and can ask your vet for a bath wash and conditioner that can prevent them.
Pretty much it's like common skin rash
Kelly Brown Our little girl has a pretty bad case of bumps and tiny wart like eruptions. Medicated shampoo plus Vitamin A and Omgea 3s have helped a lot but she still has a mild case of Schnauzer Bumps. I will give your dandruff shampoo a try. Thanks
Do you have a problem with your clippers getting to hot? If so, what do you do not to burn them?
+Diana H yes they do get warm. The blade size I use doesn't get close enough to their skin but I do give them and myself breaks throughout the grooming so the blades cool off. There is also a product called Kool Lube you can spray on the blade to cool it off. Ceramic blades stay cooler from what I here.

Nice video, I have been paying for a groomer for 5 years for my schnauzer and every year they want to vaccinate him for distemper or they wont groom him and I can't afford a titer test so that they will stop vaccinating him year after year. I want to start grooming him myself but I am deathly afraid of nicking him and hurting him and plus I don't want him to look like his mom groomed him. Plus he doesn't like his feet touched and I get him a summer cut most of the year. which is short short and then the beard thing, OMG!

Atlas, that's all fine until they get cancer. My dog died of testicular cancer at the age of 6. Totally preventable if he was neutered. Now I neuter at 18 months. They have all the hormones they need for healthy bone and joint growth, but none of the problems later down the road that intact animals have. Plus, aren't there enough unwanted dogs without the possibility of an intact dog making more? So sad.
What happened to his tail? Was he in an accident?

I shaved my dog and she got bleeding in an area between the anus and her genitalia. I was shocked and my dog was nervous. then, I shaved her ear. she felt the tingling sensation and made a sudden movement. The clipper hurt her ear and she bled. I shaved her toes, she got bleeding. what a clumsy me. I couldn't stand it anymore. this would be my last shaving on her. I won't shave her too short. I felt like I torture her. my poor dog T_T. I do not know whether she wants to be shaved in the future.

Same here:( I did this to one of my schnauzers as a teen. Mom did the clipping and I gave them a bath w/ baby shampoo.
