I've created some workable silicone prosthetics, mainly due to a friend who had a latex allergy which led to messing around with it with caulking options
I didn't try that so I don't know if this wool is suitable for it. But if you have a wool that has clear twisted threads it sounds like a really good idea! Maybe if this one becomes unusable I might try it!
Not featured on-screen this video: Some complete buffoon chattering to you excitedly from just off-camera, not realising that you're filming the application of the prosthetic 😅 Oh well... I'm glad Aelia pulled through her adventure, and curious to see how the prosthetic will hold up over time. If it does well I might have some other ideas. And I should definitely explore the options of alcohol paint for certain characters. It would allow for far more durable (and intricate) makeup than I use now. It would definitely need to be a more saturated colour though.

What was your favourite larp makeup? This is definitely my new favourite, especially because it won't be much work from now on!

@@AzraelThanatos Oh, silicone caulking sounds like a cool one to experiment with!
I might try something like this for Sterhaven.
I've never done make-up or prosthetics before for LARP, so your tutorial is very helpful!
Thank you! And sterhaven is a larp that's still on my 'maybe one day' list, the idea is really cool!
Very cool! Thanks so much for making this video!
This was interesting, thank you for sharing how you did this.
Thank you! Happy you enjoyed it!
Would separating the threads in the yarn to create smaller branches be desirable?

Haha, you weren't the only one, I had full on convos with multiple people during application, but didn't mind it at all. ;)
ga jij ook naar ravenskeep?
ik ben er namelijk wel het hele weekend
Nee, Ravenskeep ben ik nog niet geweest, en staat ook niet direct op mijn planning. Wel veel tofs over gehoord!
