It is amazing how during school I listened to this song, not thinking much about it. Now that I listen to it as an adult, I realize this is exactly how I felt/feel even today.
I miss Mitchel. I used to have the hugest crush on him back when he was on Hannah Montana and I went to his concert once. I could actually relate to this song
I know what you mean except for I only listen to this on YT never went to any concert really...IDK why0just not me. I am sure that anyone who has heard this song can relate, except for the 174 who disliked this...gotta be bullies :(
Yeah. Me too. I think he was a lot of girls' first crush. Mitchel indirectly taught eleven year old me what kind of guys to look for - both as friends and as more - and I've never settled for less. And I definitely relate. I've always been as far out of the "in" crowd as humanly possible.
Remember how this changed everybody's world when this came out. You had a whole bunch of little girls going "Yeah! I don't need to be apart of the popular group! I'm good the way I am.." Remember that. Do you remember?
Ugh I was too young to understand it!! All I remember is being confused about what an "in crowd" is. Then once I figured it out and thought"but she is with a lot of people not alone." But this song has the best message now I'm old enough to realize:)
This is like the best Disney Channel song ever. The people who decide to be themselves and not change for the popular people or to fit in stay true to themselves. The other people are all the same and have changed to look cool or be popular. The "weird" kids end up having an amazing life because they stayed true to themselves.
2022... Thought of Mitchell and his music and thought it was about time to revisit. He was so good! I missed the golden years of Disney. This era was so good❤️
this is one of those songs where u could've forgotten about it for like a year but when you listen to it again you feel all the memories flowing through you. u remember how he was your biggest crush in the world. how every time this played on disney channel you would get up and dance all around and know every word. and now you just sit here while reality slaps you in the face. you dont know where he is or what he's doing and it crushed u! (this is just how i feel!)
Haven't heard this song in years and it sure is meaningful once you think about it, it really tells how people who "aren't with the crowd" are weird and exist just cuz, they suck, but it really means those people are the people who just stand on the sidelines are no one but they are the people who are still true to themselves rather than to follow the headlines, it's sad that they are just left alone, but it's the sad truth
You know, When i'm really down feeling unpopular I just listen to this song and remember that nobody elses opinion matters but mine. Keep it up Mitchel!
From when I was 10 or 11 til now I’m 25 this song came in my head once in a while and I would come back and watch the video and listen to the song 😊 Just A Really Good Song
I’m watching Hannah Montana on Disney+ and it’s the episode where Oliver is trying to get a gig with his band and I totally forgot that he used to sing (but somehow remembered that his brother sings for Metro Station?) Anyways that’s why I’m here 🤷🏻♀️
Omg same but I was that kid who never had Disney channel and stuff like this and not too long ago I came across this on deezer like I'm starting to like songs like this and kinda like skyway avenue. I need more ppl like this to listen too
MCRxGerard1 I was a teenager when this came out. I remember him singing on Hannah Montana for the first time. I was blown away by the voice he had. I wish he did more music to this day. He was such a great singer. I would of totally went to his concert last year instead of one direction for graduation if he was still touring then. But he wasn't. I liked his singing so much better than One Direction's although One Direction has great vocals. It is just their music gets tiring not Mitchel's just his voice.
I'm in high school right now and I can finally relate to this song.... The younger me thought of it as a nice song to listen to but the current me is relating to this so much
This has been randomly in my head for a longgg while now. I remembered it from Disney. The part that's like "does anyone here live an original life.." Lovee this lol.
Till this day I still listen to this song, it's my way of taking everything out of my mind and feeling a bit better about myself, whenever I feel down or stressed out I come back to the sound of this, thank you Mitchel Musso ❤
oh my god I remember watching this on Disney Channel back when it was good and here I am watching it 6 years later as a grown teenager. and it's wierd because this song describes everything I'm going through.
Perfect example of me, girl who has no confidence in herself because no one lets her in. But her parents say she is beautiful and it is not enough, she wants to be accepted and complimented by people her own age. She tries to find a life but let me just tell you high school is tough if you don't fit in to one certain group. It's not the rest of your life thankfully, but right now it seems and feels like forever. But I just have to keep telling myself when I get out in the real world I will fit in somewhere, people will find me attractive and things will be different. No longer a huge popularity contest.
Just pretend to be confident and be optimistic. :) it really goes a long way. I deal with so many conditions and disorders and such but this information is truly helpful. I've begun to love myself more because that fake confidence slowly becomes real. Trust me. It'll help.
This song is actually from the 2000s band Nine Days, doesn't belong to Mitchel Musso. It has changed lyrics a bit compared to the original due to Disney teen public.
Every time have one of those rough nights where I need a good cry, this song oddly helps. Damn, Disney Channel. You really picked the right guy and style of song to convey loneliness and anxiety due to cliques. Just wow. Also, that's totally the girl from Big Time Rush. Jo, was it? Nice.
Mitchel is so adorable, and this song is amazing. Not to mention very inspirational. I love Mitchel. He's so underrated, but is so good at singing. As is with all good singers. But anyway, I love you, Mitchel.

this song. this song right here was my loner/introvert/weirdo-that-will-never-fit-in anthem in high school. i always looked at the world through a different lens compared to my peers and i never fit in with the “in crowd” and i never really wanted to because i felt it was futile. and this song put into words how i felt about the situation.
Hey Mitchel I just wanted to say I love your songs. I mostly love "The in crowed" it made me realize that I can be who I am in high and to do want I want and not care about what people have to say about it. #YouAreMyInsperation
I alway come back to this to remember back when I used to be a loner in special Ed with no cash or social skills. My things have changed. This song was a push out of that mindset.

It's scary how accurate the lyrics are in describing the exact feelings I felt in middle school and high school.

I just watched this music video for this song for the very first time and it was amazing 🤩!!!!
This is really happy to hear Michael Musso I would love him like brother to me. Hi Michael Musso #1 fan
I relate to this song, like a lot. Mitchel is such a big inspiration to me, and this song, even though it was made a long time ago, makes me think that ya know, it's not just me that has not felt "welcomed" in a club/group. I never really fit in with the popular people because I wasn't meant for it, i was never too much of a nerd either. I kind of just built up a wall around me and barely let people in to me.
Mitchel, I don't know if you will see this or not, but you have always been such an inspiration to me from when you started on Hannah Montana© to the real you now. If you do see this, I want you to know that even when you think the world may look down on you, you will always have at least one person nere for you, and i will always be here, and i'm sure it won't ever come down to just me, so keep your head up. Love your music, keep up the great work!
