This broadcast is from espn international, one of the commentator is Alvaro Martin, great professional who was for Espn Latin America from the early 90's till 2021, He was alway in the broadcast of the NFL and the NBA.
First year watching IndyCar in 1993 being a Mansell fan but wasn't easy watching all the races as i was only 10 lol and living in UK, this was one of them i never watched till now. So big thank you
IndyCar just isn't IndyCar without ovals of all sizes on the annual schedule. Milwaukee is almost as important as The Indianapolis 500 in terms of historically important venues. I sincerely hope that the crowds will be there to show their appreciation for this wonderful one mile oval. If the crowd size isn't worth the promoter's efforts then the Milwaukee races (2) will go away...again. Take a look at David Land's Channel regarding American Open Wheel Racing's premier series returning to its roots at "The Milwaukee Mile!"
Had such bad luck with his equipment (and some very bad calls as well...) Such a classy driver and guy. That Duracell livery was one of the best ever as well.
Sat in the the covered grandstands many times and you’re right it was loud. Lol before the days of common ear protection as well. Would add character to the new stands if they could add some canopy.
This looks so cool like Iowa this year. Now what is the cheaper airfare Milwaukee or Gateway St. Louis? 2 races is better than one. Does Miiler Coors let you do a beer factory tour anybody know? I love the wide track to allow a 3 wide pass.
Miller Brewing Company used to host a guided tour of the facilities as for back as 1966 when I went with my Dad to see how they bottled "Miller High Life, The Champaign Of Bottles Beers." As he was treated to Milwaukee's Finest, I (at 13 yo) was served an orange soda!
Awesome Tim thanks for sharing I plan on making the trip to Milwaukee next year to see the double race. had so much fun in Iowa last year. Would be great if I can fit a beer factory tour in and a Brewers game as well.@@timford3599
Watching this Indy Car race the way F1 is televised and the way an auto race SHOULD be televised--without commercial breaks--just re-emphasizes how incredibly intrusive and disruptive the constant, endless ad breaks (complete with lead-in and out bumpers) that NBC crams into every race in todays IndyCar broadcasts are. American Indy Car/CART broadcasts have always had ad breaks but today they're to the point they are ruining the product. It's confusing enough to follow with all the crazy pit rules, yellows, mandatory tire compound rules etc.that when you take away so many chunks of action you feels like you have no idea what you're watching (and afterwards, what you've watched.) Watching this race (and the Toronto '89 international broadcast you've posted....maybe there's others) is an entirely different, more cohesive and immersive experience. There's a reason the biggest racing series in the world televises it's product this way...to protect the integrity of the experience. An F1 race with any ads--let alone NBC's nonstop parade--is unimaginable. If a non-ad, full-race coverage subscription option was available I'm sure I'm not the only IndyCar fan who'd gladly buy it to be able to actually SEE a race. To follow a race. To feel like you've actually watched a race. A different announcing team would be more than welcome as well (and something I'd consider part of the value proposition) but that's another topic....
I really hope we can make it work this time. This track absolutely NEEDS to be a part of this Championship.
fittipaldi, andretti, mansell, rahal, unser, tracy... man, what a line-up of drivers! and how beautiful those cars were!
And they could get through 5 laps without crashing into each other! More talent, more mutual respect. Indicative of a different era...
The best decade of Indycar ❤
1000%
Indy?? CART!

Thanks for informing the viewers on the telecast source for this race, as I was surprised NOT hearing Paul Page for this race.
@@bloqk16 Yes, even me was surprised that IndyCar don't take the broadcast from ABC.
I thought that I could hear Paul Page in the background during the command to start engines.
@@mrpots31 sometimes the audio of both broadcast mixes 😁
He's pretty amateur in this broadcast.

Thank you for posting these races. Nothing preserves these events better than having them online for anyone to watch.
Perfect timing with this classic rewind, Milwaukee was always one of the best races on the CART calendar so this is great to rewatch
Perfect timing? They're posting this for people who don't know about this track; after announcing it being on next year's schedule.
Welcome back old friend!!!
Sat, 1 June, reviewing classic indycar races, happy days.
Thanks for uploading this record! It was fun to watch!
The glory days of Indycar...Just dosn't get any better!
........of CART.
@@ManBad88 Watch every race in the seasons you'll thank yourself for it..happy racing.
Boesel using tire warmer blankets on the grid! Analog tachs! Love it
Absolutely packed infield super cool 😊
Indycar, keep these classic rewinds coming. Always liked to watch Mansell race. Great see milwaukee back on the calendar, like the short track ovals.

The sound of those V8s back then....
Past over 30 years for best race Paul Tracy!🇨🇦🏎
IMO Raul Boesel is one of the best IndyCar drivers to never win a race. he got close many times but it just never worked out.
Had such bad luck with his equipment (and some very bad calls as well...) Such a classy driver and guy. That Duracell livery was one of the best ever as well.
Cowboy Killa logos are just aesthetically pleasing, no matter what motorsport or time period. And that wacky K Mart logo.
That was an awesome pass by Nigel late in the race .
The glory days of CART Champcars. 60000 packed Milwaukee! The best IndyCars ever were CART Champcars.
Well looks like i know what im doing when i get off work tomorrow!
Please post more races from the ‘93-‘94 championships. Thank you.
I was at this race.
Raul Boesel, very unlucky to never win an Indycar race
For an ESPN International Broadcast, it’s not bad. Suitable!
Muito bonito os carros dessa época!
Mais postagens dos 90's 🤝
Obrigado!
I was at this race 😊
Couldn’t get access to the American broadcast huh?
Why are you using the ESPN International broadcast instead of the ABC feed?? We want Paul, Bobby, and Sam!
Is this the international commentary ?
Next year,The Indycar At Milwauke Mile speedway is back again and it's gonna get Fuegos UP!!!!
I sure miss the old covered grandstand. Rather be rendered deaf instead or broiled in the aluminum solar oven...🤣
Sat in the the covered grandstands many times and you’re right it was loud. Lol before the days of common ear protection as well. Would add character to the new stands if they could add some canopy.
Horray! Got the finish of the race!
Keep em coming
Where was Michael Andretti for this one? He was still racing, right?
He was in Formula 1 racing for McLaren. That’s how Nigel got into CART, replacing Michael’s old ride

Yannick Dalmas
This announcing crew was rough
It's amazing to look back on how much attrition used to factor into these races.
IndyCar, if I go to this race can you go to Chicagoland?
Frickin nascar stealing road America

no fence at the backstrech?
Yeah, it wasn’t that long ago that catch fences were only in front of grandstands.
Nigel Mansell's first oval IndyCar win after being denied at the Indy 500.

I’ll probably watch so I can watch cars that are more advanced than the current cars.
Not more advanced bud, these cars were cooler, and faster, and better but technology wise they were archaic
@@precesionnoreaster1507 they were more advanced in every way. The new cars are terrible and would be outdated by a rear engine roadster bud
@@precesionnoreaster1507 the new cars are older than these 1993 Champ Cars. I think Indycar bought the current cars at a junkyard.

Indycar has no where the reach or fan base that F1 does. Unless people are willing to pay tons of money for Peacock there will be commercials.
Is this voiced over?...because it's terrible lol
