    Thank you for the video.
    Intent: Everything you wanted to know from this video:
    - interpolation is real factual data collected
    - extrapolation is estimated data based on the equation generated by the data collected
    Abstract Jargon:
    known data points = real factual data collected
    2+ known data points => interpolation interval => equation
    data points outside interpolation interval => using equation => estimated data points (extrapolation)
    The interesting question for me would be now how to determine the equation?

    I use this method for speculation on price chart. If we can contextually interpret price direction (an object in motion tends to be in motion), price action behaviours are kinda interesting. Allan Andrew's have developed a technique called pitchfork, which works kinda same way but more advanced

    • @IAmHereForeve
      @IAmHereForeve 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      3 years late but...
      Any data point between the two points ON the slope (1,-3 and 7,5).
      Any point (x,y) in that line between the two points is INTERPOLATION. (1,-3)................................................(7,5)
      Any point (x,y) outside of those two points is EXTRAPOLATION. ........................................(1,-3) (7,5).......................................................
      Interpolation is mainly used to fill in missing data that would normally fall within certain data points.
      Extrapolation is used to predict how something was way beyond we started collecting data or in the future by using current data points.

    This is very interesting and I imagine it's easier to understand and quantify when it's in numbers, but what is your opinion of extrapolation and interpolation of historical and political logic?

    • @SuperMIKevin
      @SuperMIKevin ปีที่แล้ว

      Here I am 2 months later, April 1st 2023.
      The Dawn of AI, the biggest problem I see in this world is people's inability to extrapolate.
      We all have our flaws, I know one of mine is a lack of interest in interpolation, I know for a fact, if I spent more time interpolating I'd be financially wealthy but I prefer to extrapolate, I believe I fell into this habit because most people around me had a deficiency in their own ability to extrapolate.
      I believe AI is my solution, it will help me to focus my energy on interpolation and maximize my ability to extrapolate.
      It's gonna be a fascinating world.

    Hi, can we use interpolation for measuring a KPI scorecard
    Want to use this for both increasing and decreasing thresholds? (Strecth and target values) then interpolating to a scale like 80-100
    Both for reduction KPIs (e.g interruption duration) and increasing KPIs (e.g market share)
