Honda CBX1000 run. July 2022.

- This is the first run I've had on the CBX since my trip to Dublin in May. The weather in Ireland has been particularly poor this year and therefore, the opportunities for motorcycling have been few and far between. As you will see, I met up with my ol'CBX buddie Rickie for this run to our friend Ian's house. Ian is trying to abbreviate his motorcycle collection and wanted our advice on what should stay and what should go. Not the easiest of tasks.

Unfortunately, I suspect you're right.
Your Irish summer is just like our Manx weather, you never know what to expect and It's usually four seasons in one day!
I really need to get my CBX back on the road, sadly It's been sat under a cover in the garage for 15yrs and I keep saying to myself "I'll get it sorted" but It's on my "to do list" that never seems to get any smaller... Ian has way to many bikes!

CBX heaven again! Yours seems to have a low drone, where as mine sounded almost like a 2 stroke. Wow I think I want to move to Ireland. It's so beautiful there. It's so green and Texas its just brown. I think we had 75 days this summer of 100 degrees or higher. Enjoy the weather and thanks for the great video.
Ah Clayton, they don't call it the 'Emerald Isle' for nothing. Unfortunately, all this greenness comes with all the rain that we get. This summer has been one of the dullest, most miserable that I can remember. There have been very few days of unbroken sunshine and quite a few days of rain or showers. With regards to temperature, the highest ever recorded in Northern Ireland was 88°f and that was last July. Thanks again for commenting.
Remember seeing Ricky on the CBX on the bells bridge roundabout,,he used to have a light under the motor over 30+years ago I bought a silver CBX at 19 ,,86,,87 gvu 2v think it was ,,seen it in the shipyard in 92 ''93 and never again good to watch 👍 from Belfast
He still has a few voice activated LED's placed around his 'Special' that he can control via a microphone would you believe!
Always nice to hear the CBX snore... My CBX 1978 has the original (Chinia's) exhaust, man what I am in love with is the sound from 6000 rpm when I start to pull... above in in all the gears! That high shrill cry it's really addictive, still after so many years! Yes, I'm still a big child! Thank you for the vid. mate 👍

@@AlistairCampbell1047cc Hahahahaha, the temperature is incredible in this area, you are invited but you will bring the CBX, you will see what landscapes there are in this area... practically every weekend I do a route on my CBX, it is a unique motorcycle 👍 👍

Hi limetriple, I use a Gopro Hero 4 in conjunction with the Gopro Studio. It is a very drawn out process but it's the one I learnt originally and, at my time of life, I couldn't be bothered learning any more!
