It's getting near the end of the season, so even if the weather is awful, it's still a good time to go fishing. Poor conditions but excellent fishing at Lowry's once again.

The RC30 got a run out to the Classic Bike Festival at Bishopscourt race track. This event is getting bigger and better with the passing years. Pride of place today was 15 times World champoin, Giacomo Agostini. The weather was good except for a bit of a shower on the way home. Hope you enjoy the video.

Well, it has taken me until mid-June to get my act together with the RC and get her an MOT certificate! Thankfully this all coincided with the first real summer day that we've had this year. Talk about lucky! Add six months road tax to the deal, and we're away on our first run of the year. Enjoy the ride.

Finally....The sun has come out and Big Bertha is getting a run. I'm starting to think that, as the years roll on, maybe it's just me not wanting to venture forth in the cold and wet that's delaying the onset of the motorcycling season and nothing to do with a wet and miserable Spring. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed the ride out. Thanks for watching, Alistair.

Hi Alistair Good to see you out again Just one observation .........your temperature gauge hard moved off cold until you arrived back home Is this normal
233 miles..Not a lot. Wonder how much you did on the XJ🤔
Great to see you back Al, nothing beats the sound of gear driven cams at decent rpm lol, just came back from a 2000km ride over 3 days here, arse transplant required lol
Hi Alistair you were lucky to get a pas certificate with that faulty speedo LOL😉😉👍👍
Beautifull Bike! And just 222kg.! Its like a bicicle. Psalm91.
Hi Al just watched your video speedo went blank at one stage naughty where did you buy that e5 fuel my porsche needs that but not seen that in a while
Hi Anne, you can get the E5 super unleaded at the Go station in Portadown or the big new Go place at the Boulevard in Banbridge. Thanks for watching.
That's it Alistair keep er lit and safe riding. Cheers Colin💯
Cheers Colin.👍
Wee bike is as sweet as a sweet thing.
Cheers Jim.
I am new to fishing, and I am starting by coarse fishing near Portglenone, what do you reccomend for bait? Great video by the way!
Thanks for watching and commenting. If it's Pike you're after, probably the best bait would be Sprat. I don't really use bait much but the tackle shops will have a massive range of frozen baits. For all other coarse fish, maggots would be the best. Enjoy your fishing👍
Well done Alistair... i was going to get Noah to put his wetsuit and snorkel on and send him in after that net! 🤣 Hopefully we will see you on the lake before the end of it.... tight lines! 🎣😉👍
He'd have been up to his neck in mud and mire!😆 Yes, hopefully we'll get a few more outings before the end of the month.👍
Great fishing Alastair and great entertainment.
Thanks Brian......sure, you taught me everything I know!😆
How old are your rod & reel Alistair?
@rosebrowne4368 , interesting question Rose. The rod is probably over thirty years old and the reel would be a lot younger. I bought it second hand off Ebay.
@@AlistairCampbell1047cc do you have anything of your Grandfathers?
Great one Alistair glad you got the net👍👍
There's days for fishin and days for bikin, this was definitely a fishin day 😂
A good day in difficult conditions Alistair. Good that you found the net! 👍 Fish in great condition
Thanks Richard, I dropped the net up at Seagahan years ago and managed to find it. That's why I added the yellow tape. I'm not often that sensible 😂
Beautiful place,so silence...and all that hungry fishes...great!!
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Great help for someone to follow 👍👍👍❤
@loriendorking2144 Thanks for watching and commenting.
Enjoyed the video. U mention a boat, were would u put it in. Like to fly fish there
Thanks for watching, there's a public slipway beside Haldane Fisher, at the Garvaghy Rd, in Portadown. Just go in there and head upstream.
Get urself a pike net. But great video.
Good video. Any pike fishing on the Bann? Like to fly fish for them
I started pike flyfishing around 20yrs ago and had great sport. I never caught any monsters but plenty of fish up to 10lbs. Unfortunately, over the years the catches dropped off to the point where I just don't bother any more. Give it a throw and let me know how you get on.
Alistair I’m looking for a CBX can you give me any advice please
Where to start? Probably the best thing to do is to join the CBX Enthusiasts club. You'll find them on Facebook. Nigel Sadler is the main man and a good friend of mine. It's only £12 to join and there's frequently bikes coming up for sale within the club. Hope this helps.
@@AlistairCampbell1047cc thanks Alistair
I did wonder how your VFR started after a long lay up. Mines even worse than yours... Takes about 15 goes before it picks up.
As you can see, it took a bit of persuading, but I think it had been many months since its last start. At the minute, it literally starts immediately.
@@AlistairCampbell1047cc I'm at a total loss as to why mine's so troublesome... OK within a few days, but leave it several weeks and it's a different matter.
Will the VFR be making an appearance this year Alistair?
@mick998r , at the moment it seems unlikely. I was out a couple of times on it and it's flying. It was only when I got home I discovered that there's no MOT on it. Therefore I'll probably just SORN it for the winter and start afresh next year. Good to hear from you again.
Fabulous machine.

Well done ,i know its an older vid, the good old Rimfly strikes again , ive got a few of them , great to see you put it back, top man .All the best , David.
Thanks David. I was actually using the very same reel tonight at Seagahan Dam and it managed to land 10 trout successfuly.
No knots in your fly line this time i hope eh , lol, all the best , David.@@AlistairCampbell1047cc
Does it have overheating problems? The fairings look very snug to the cylinder heads and there is just one air duct per side
@filippogalli3477 no, no overheating problems at all. There is an oil temperature gauge which runs around 80°.
@@AlistairCampbell1047cc glad to hear, such a cool looking bike 🥹
I've a 92 bike and did a carb clean. Refitting, I put the front bank in position fully, the rear bank, I'd the rubbers separately from carb and head, all surfaces smeared in vaseline, heated the rubbers and all sitting in place loosely,a real good hard push down and straight on with no issues.Cleaning them was the cure.Bike laid up for 12 years and float bowls full of what looked like brown sugar. All I had to clean them was a toothbrush,an air line and a can of carb spray but it worked and the bike runs great now.Going for MOT soon after 14 years off the road( it lay in my shed a further 2 years). Your bike looks like a good example. I've a very early cbr600 that's a low mileage bike almost as clean as your vfr
Thanks for commenting and watching. Yeah, if I had to do it again I'd definitely employ the services of a heat gun and vaseline, hopefully I won't have to take them off again. I was out on her about two weeks ago and it's running like new!
Another great Vid Al, everyone made the best of our 'unpredictable ' weather, quick question near the end the vid you filmed 2 6's in a trailer rego number OIJ237, who owns that one. My reason for asking it has the original Holywood Motorcycle Centre Number plate that's where Roy and I worked of course before heading down under, Roy thinks it might have been one Kevin McClintocks collection, Cheers mate ( I'm still trying to master my drone and will get some footage up asap ( excuse the pun lol )
Hi Brian. Those bikes belong to a friend of mine, Michael McBride. He used to own NIJ 413, the CB900FA that you and Roy sold to me many years ago. I think he got the CBX up around Dromara about 10yrs ago. That's the first Droning I've done in ages and it kinda shows, but you can always make it look better with a bit of careful editing.
@@AlistairCampbell1047cc thanks mate, I’ll let Roy know.
Great video Alistair well put together loads of fun everyone had a fantastic time.💯
Thanks Colin, I think everyone enjoyed the weekend even if the weather was a bit iffy in places.
Watched part 2 BRILLIANT some great drone footage. 👍👍
Thanks Brent, at this rate I'll be flying 747's next.😆
Excellent summary of what was clearly a fantastic weekend by all and celebrating one of Honda's most iconic machines ever to grace our roads. Also great to see many representatives from mainland Europe supporting the event. Thanks for the upload.
Cheers David. It's hard to believe that folk would want to travel from as far as Iceland for a rally in Fermanagh. Thanks for the comments.
There's some knowledge about the CBX in that car park over the weekend,, brilliant stuff everyone seems to have enjoyed it ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from Belfast,, great video
Cheers Cecil. Yes, the level of expertise at the rally was impressive.
A good turnout despite the weather and no doubt, a lot of downpipes to clean after the event!
Yes indeed David, there'll be a run on the sale of Solvol Autosol next week!😆
Looking forward for part 2👍👍
Another great one Alistair a few pounds of machinery there. 👍👍
That's true Brent.
if u remove the idle mix screw it helps if the orientation is vertical so gravity helps keep spring, washer and o-ring together. far too many ppl think its necessary to spend hours taking every single piece off a set of carbs for cleaning, when in very many cases, just clearing out clogged idle jets in about 15 minutes is sufficent to restore proper running to our vfrs. seems like youre a relative novice at this task, so may be too soon to begin lecturing. choke plungers can be lubed w/o fussing around, just pop the rubber end cover up and shoot in some oil or spray lube, ez.
enjoyed that. keep them coming
Many thanks, I'll try to get a few more soon!
Michael Rutter full length of the start finish straight on the back wheel with hir RCV brilliant stuff,,,not the tussle with McWilliams like last year,, it was fantastic,,,, from Belfast ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
@cecilwilson5442 It was a great day and display Cecil. Looking forward to next year, might even stay overnight.
Great video. Just subscribed. Fabulous RC30 you have there. The dream of every true biker of a certain age! Mind you, I could have cried when I seen the dark clouds. The bike didn't fair too badly given the shower, but I'm sure an hour or two's spit and polish had her back to showroom condition. Great clips of the day and thanks for the upload. Take care for now.
Thanks David. I actually ended up removing the rear wheel to get in round the back end of the bike. It's all pretty again! Thanks for your comments.
Another great one Alistair well worth waiting on.👍👍
Another wee adventure on the bike. Pity the weather has been so bad this summer.
Woah the 0 mile C90 I wonder if they have disconnect the speedo so just pushing it around doesnt end up putting a whole mile on it. and you seem to be on a VFR!!! the 400 is one of my dream bikes.
Well down Alistair i was down there as well it was a fantastic day out i made my own videos there some crowds and fantastic weather.💯
What the heck is this music We want to hear the bike
Back arch on that Berlingo a bit ropey 😜🤫
To be honest Jolly, that's the least of her worries. There's a few strange noises coming from the back end.... a bit like me really!😂
I was there on the Saturday. Great day, lots of interesting bikes & people, relaxed & friendly vibe.
I agree totally. I didn't find the time to get a good look at all the bikes. I might have to think about doing an overnight stay next year.
Nice video Alistair, love those Yamaha's No.33 lol. Oh and I think you will find I have the cleanest original CBX1000Z in Ireland 😄
Thanks Ross. If your Six is as clean as your race bikes we definitely might have a challenge for William. Are you aware of the CBX Euro Rally at Ballinamallard F.C. coming soon? Have a look at the link. We'd love to see you. ukcbxclub.com/euro-rallr-2024

@@stephengahan5624 thanks for watching and commenting. To be honest, I kinda buggered off early trying to avoid the rain. There was a lot more to see and record, given time.
9:22 mileage can't be right surely? Pushing it into the van over time would have more miles?
I think the speedo cable may be disconnected 😮
