@@gabrielkesshinsanchez9139 yes. the pistons push back the rotor stack that acts like a spring to store up energy. Im suggusting to keep that exact same design principle but add a second set of pistons on the opposite side of the rotors so there isnt a torque causing it to bend as seen in the video which is what caused it to blow up and even if it didnt blow up it would have launched into the ground instead of into the air
Yep, you usually need a few sub grids to make it ""stable"" - look up piston jolt for "working" examples but know they are normally forbidden on servers due to how they overload the simulation
Don't forget rotor guns, can't speak of the jolt gun without at least a mention of it. Both are so much fun but ridiculous to, as you said, make it ""stable""😅
You need linear rails to prevent the megapiston from bending like a bow. Put two wheel suspensions upside down on that white block and build a rail above it. That should keep it straight. Until the wheels clip into the rails under the physics breaking pressure and everything goes fubar
I saw the beginning and was like
Oh a klang summoning!
Klang sees your foolish mortal contraption and laughs!
This is SpaceX level launch! 😅😅
"I want to play KSP2"
*KSP2 at home*
maybe put a set of pistons on either side to even out the force so it doesnt bend like that
the point is the force to launch it

klang disapproves too much ambition, maybe half extend next time :D
This video made my morning 😂
Wait, it still lunch the ship. I see this as a win.
you can simply extend pistons, lock the ship with a maglock, retract the pistons and when you want to launch release the maglock, same as a railgun
It could potentially work if you disconnect the piston line from the hinges once it is far enough without breaking
Ain't this how Clang guns work
You failed spectacularly tho

Honestly.... something this batshit crazy can come just in one place . not only ya blew klang a new one, ya blew my noggin too..😆
So, you actually expected it to work without any rails?
Okay, maybe you're right. Some grids aren't as good as I hype them up to be
8 for boom
Well...I mean, depending on your strict definition of the word "launch..."
🤦Me and my big mouth.... 😁
Boing 😀😁😄😆😂🤣
Hilarious
What if you make it into a crossbow with a detachable segment?
