Wow thank you so much Rob for being the guy to dump 400 and take it right apart and figure out if there really is a problem or if it just needs a little tuning you're the man and I thank you and so does my bank account
id say its a good gun , but very limited range of pressure where its usable. A regulator would make this gun top notch and allow for 4 mags per cylinder id guess. If someone already owns a jet its a really good gun because then you have a large cylinder that screws right on.. im working on a stock for it now..
That is the way all Hatsan semi-automatics and fully automatic work there is a piston in front of the barrel and it slides from the airburst of the pellet leaving the barrel
EDIT - youre prob right , I think the sortie does work the same way.. Its actually a shame they use this system on the pistol , it would have been much smaller and way more moddable were they using a simple valve blowback system
@@airgunningyup yeah a lot use the push or pull method but they both have the same result...... I think the concept when they push the Piston back and it slides on the barrel with only one rod going back to re-cock it is much more simpler than some of the other designs ....but I had to send back my velox it went crazy and would shoot all by itself without you even having the gun in your hand.
The 2240 use to have a aftermarket semi auto kit that was ɓuilt the same way it worked just like your saying . The only thing about that is you can only use the barrel length the kit came with. Also that type of design is kinda of sensitive and some times it cycle incorrectly. It in my opinion function better as a pump action system better sense it does not having to work with the blow back shroud system and barrel set up. Its a more reliable feeding system to offer but strangely isn't offered for a 2240.🤔💯👍✌️
i saw pump action kits for the 2240 , never heard of semi auto conversion kits.. I dont like the front piston setup because it makes speed mods more difficult/.
@airgunningyup there should be at least one or two videos of some people one using the 2240 in semi auto there pertty old videos at least 10 or more years ago I want to say there Russian that had made the kits if I remember right. I tried to get a kit and there reply was we don't offer it to the USA the installation to complicated for the average person. A couple years later some explain to me the way it worked. Basically the same as you were point out also in the very first aea videos I ask aea in the comments if there semi auto was based on the 2240 semi auto design because of the similar designs.👍✌️
@@josephsaucedo8691 yea, a 2240 coversion to semi auto would be fairly complicated, not to mnetion it would need a multishot breech for it to make sense
@airgunningyup yup it did have a multi breach also part of the kit that was partly why I was interested in it that and the look of the shrouded barrel it looked like a actual pistol and not a air pistol at the time it was the only design I seen that made it look like a actual pistol and being multi shot. 😁👍👍💯✌️
Hey man love your content. Do you maybe know any open bolt trigger design, that has a semi function, that is purchasable? Im working on my own Airsoft gun right now and need something like that, because its based on a open bolt design. Or do you know where i can get blueprints for a trigger like that? :)

@@gumbystown yea, ive seen that in a few reviews where the gun was unpredictable.. soo far no issues here unless i let the pressure get below 2000psi

no , i cant think of anything.. You may wanna look at some homebrew firearms that use open bolt .. Theres a good variety on youtube .

Wanna maybe help me with the project, I could send ya the cad design and maybe get an opinion?

Finally have mine holding full pressure, but still can't run 2 full mags through it. It works flawlessly though
