People always say that sponge applicators are unhygienic but it's no different from a doe foot. In fact, it's better than a doe foot because you're not putting the sponge into the product after putting it on your face.
This is true! The exception is that you can more easily swipe a doe foot on the back of your hand, then dab a finger into that to apply to the face. For me, squeeze tubes are ideal, because i can squirt a controlled amount onto my finger and waste no product will prioritizing cleanliness. We all have out favorite mechanisms!

I have recently bought the bare minerals invisible bronzer in fair to light, it appears a little shimmering in the pan but doesn’t apply that way, it gives the skin a beautiful sheen to the skin, and being really pale it works really well on my skin. Definitely worth a try! ✨

The new-ish dior mineral bronzers are gorgeous. They’re not matte, but there isn’t any chunky shimmer in them - just a beautiful glow. I also love the hourglass bronzer.

Try Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer.....so creamy and blends perfectly, great for your and my colouring and cheap! It's so up market but just not price wise.
Glossier stretch concealer is brill if you have fine lines beneath your eyes--doesn't sit in them at all (just don't cake powder over it). It comes in a little pot and feels almost waxy, but is incredibly light and stays put all day.

I love your videos, they are so chilled and I adore your content, but I think for the more make-uppy videos it would be better to use your big camera instead of the vlog camera, because sometimes it's hard to see the "results" correctly... I think there’s a primer that’s supposed to go under the YSL mascara. Lizzy Hadfield uses the two together & loves it! The blush suits you 😊 great video xxx
The Marc jacobs bronzer in tantastic is my favourite bronzer! I don’t use foundation but this bronzer stays on all day anyway, also it’s such a great colour.
I was actually impressed with how much went on even with that brush. Try that with some glittery shadows and nothing would be visible. Find the CT pop shadows hard to get on for instance! Actually made me want to go and buy the Hourglass shadow!
Lily, rip the sponge off the CT concealer! I did, immediately. You’ll need to dig a bit out of the barrel with nail scissors/toothpick/paper clip etc. Then you can click the product onto the back of your hand or a brush. 1 or 2 clicks. I’ve been telling everyone to do this. The concealer is the best I’ve ever used but the sponge - no.
Lily, if you’re after an AMAZING Bronzer that is full proof, try the Bare Minerals Invisible Bronze :) it’s my holy grail! Comes in 4 shades too!! You’d probably be either Fair to Light or Light to Medium xx

ChayaFabulosis one useful strategy is to be aware of what goes into marketing, branding, etc. not just on TH-cam, but with all consumer markets. Knowledge is power! If you are aware, you can learn how to discern between authentic, genuine content and misleading content. Another strategy is to take beauty TH-cam for what it is. It is great at certain things, like showing swatches and offering lots of different perspectives. Also, find what mediums and creators you feel you can trust and will be receptive to. Some trust blogs, instagram, reddit, youtube, word of mouth, personal experience. There are so many ways to gain info these days! And, honestly, if you find a handful of trusted voices, rely and support them!
Not sure trust is really important. View it more as information about new products and then do your own research. There is one YTer that I do trust but we obviously have very different skin so nothing she likes works for me! So even if you do trust someone you still need to work out if something is right for you. All the YTers are describing Pillow Talk as pinky nude, the lip liner and lipstick are very brown on me! I don't think they are all lying I just know I very very dark lips. Also watch for the products that people are still using months on, the ones that keep appearing when the hype has died down.
I wait for favorites of the year and declutters, some of the new products they receive in PR throughout the year do not appear in their yearly favorites, and some even end up being decluttered or like someone else said already here, they dont use them again and again, regularly or on their day to day. I’d rather watch a YTer using the same products for months and months than when they keep reviewing new stuff all the time

217 is definitely the wrong kind of brush to use for glittery eyeshadow, it’s too fluffy!
