This is beautiful work sir!!! You just nailed it with the transition from modern to vintage mousetrap designs in your videos. A lovely blend of new and old. Quite clever designs form years past. Keep up the good work, this just never gets old!

THX for mentioning the Merode Altarpiece. The right-hand panel of the Merode Altarpiece, attributed to Robert Campin, painted sometime in the 1420's, now on display at the Met Cloisters in New York City. He is shown as a carpenter, building a mousetrap: a reference to the cross. Quoting St Augustine: "The cross of the Lord became a trap for the Devil; the death of the Lord was the food by which he was ensnared."

The best traps seem to be buckets with something to fall off into them. They are simple, and they catch LOTS of mice. These traps catch one mouse and then they have to be reset.
I was thinking at the beginning, "Wow, he's going to get two with it. LOL"

I made one and it works GREAT. The way the forces act on the trigger it is just naturally very sensitive and it is also easy to adjust by tilting the prop stick or moving it's string hole. It has been out-catching all the snap traps at my work place. I altered mine by sawing a groove in the top and bottom pieces so the horizontal trigger stick doesn't cause a space between the "kill-boards". The second mouse I caught was not killed, just badly cramped up because there was too much space left by the trigger.

I had an original of one of these traps as a kid. Used it many times. It was thrown in the dump while a renovation was completed and I didn't know.
