Exploring Abandoned Alabama Department Of Transportation

- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

you forgot to yell out ' anyone in here?? just exploring'' the vulture might have been more chill about it haha
Why was she standing like that? 🤣 That would have spooked me too. That's a nice building.
Not everyday Post 10 is exploring abandoned buildings in your home state. Pretty cool find!
Miss Post standing like Michael Myers 🫨
Off to change my boxers, nearly pooped myself when you turned around and your partner was standing😂😂.
Kind regards from Scotland 🏴
😂 very glad she messes with him
Thanks for filming. We LOVE you in Serbia. Good night ❤️🌃
Industry roll matrix printers, not used at least 20-30 years. This place preserved in relatively good shape
Sorry about the vulture scare, but you finished the tour! That was interesting. I doubt that I would have the courage to re-enter that building. 😊
Once I threw a freezer burned ham into the back of my yard thinking stray cats, possums, raccoons, etc., would eat it. Twenty minutes later my yard was full of vultures fighting over that ham. I had to scare them off and retrieve the ham so I could throw it away. Unfortunately we have an HOA and I was afraid someone would complain about the birds. They were so big and kind of scary.
The first building really would make a good home for a big family or group of people.
Sweet home "Alabama"... Lots of places to explore...
As much as I find this type of videos so cool , in my imagination there's always a chance of finding a dead body in these remote places... Scary just thinking about it 😬
You’re much more likely to find a living man or animal in these places which are far more scary
Especially if the body is still warm😱
Just leave the area and call 911 (or local equivalent), they would know what to do
@@markm6488 Yikes 😬😳
The radioactive signs might be for the soil analysis lab. Where my Dad worked there was a soils lab with those signs. The equipment used to measure density uses a radioactive source.
Welcome to the state I call home! It’s gorgeous at this time of year.
For sure. I'm from north Alabama. Definitely a beautiful state pretty underrated
That place had a liminal space vibe to it that was scary, plus some actually scary moments in the video. Awesome!
Beautiful building
A lot of rural towns in Alabama are like this due to lack of job opportunities and people moving closer to the city or out of state for work.
Happened to my home town in Alabama
@@mookieblaylock9414 yeah I hear that a lot especially in South Alabama. Once the local factory, mine, warehouse etc. closes those towns start disappearing. It's sad because a lot of them look like they were pretty nice places back in the day.
True, my dad (a GM retiree) had coworkers coming up to Tennessee from Bama
Jobs often leave the state due to bad policy from the state government or other states/regions simply have better opportunities. As a business owner would you rather set up shop in northern Alabama or Florida's panhandle? Exactly.
@@ThunderTheBlackShadowKitty depends on the business but i get what you mean. North Alabama is booming right now with the aerospace industry in Huntsville and the panhandle is a hotbed for tourism. That's left a lot of small towns in south Alabama on the decline with people leaving for better opportunities elsewhere in the region.
Ok so i was watching your content before i was working where i am now and then i got hired. Didnt sub cause i didnt have a account. I have one bow and since i found u again im watching 7+ years of content and im subbed. This is day 2 of watching nothing but you and your unclogging videos. Thank you mr national treasure for helping your fellow man.
Awesome video Post!
Came down to my neck of the woods. Nice.
If you need a shed to sleep in, I have an old hog parlor. 100'
Awesome video Post 👍 Enjoy your time in Alabama
Aww man your in my home state Welcome to Alabama!❤❤ Looked like a vulture probably eating something dead!
It's been living there a while I think based on the amount of poop
Thanks Post 👊🏻👍🏻 Appreciate you my friend 🙏🏻
Next time you come to Alabama, you and Mrs. Post MUST stop by. This is a sincere offer! I’m retired Military but grew up in New England. Red Tailed Hawk. They 5:04 eat mice and critters.
Never thought I would see Post 10 in my home state, very cool!!
Cool!! My home state!
Glad to see you exploring further south, I’m from Panama City Beach and it’s nice to see places in driving distance.
Welcome to Alabama, Post. You are in the right place if you want to find eerie forgotten places!
That could make a great home and workshop post!!
2:48. 😂 He started walking through that place like a police dog
That was a pretty good tour of the abandoned building, even though you found out the vultures hide out.
Ì ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO POST 10 😊
OMG, you scaret me, thought someone ran behind you. Be carefull out there!
I was surprised to see so much glass intact
Как уютно.😊
Very interesting video! These would make for really good filming locations for a paranormal type movie
Ms. Post Mr. Post, great presentation!
That building you were in with the room with all the lights and the one chair, that is a prison facility or an inmate holding and interrogation facility.
Interesting video here. Exploring abandoned places can both Interesting and scary. I wonder if Post 10 has ever caught any paranormal sightings on his exploration videos
Great video post .
Is that a raccoon hanging down from the eave above the doorway at the end?
It sure does look like it lol 😂
It's prolly a light, but yeah, it sure does.
Excellent ❤❤
if you ever find yourself in central Illinois, one of the state parks has an abandoned observatory. You can’t legally go on, but the doors are all pried open. It’s kinda neat.
Looked like a freaking vulture!
Interesting complex.
Avoid the fire ants. Trust me.
how come none of these abandoned places have a fence around them? in my area there was this burned apartment they got abandoned that had a fence around it but that explore was one of my scariest
Because it's in a state where if you get hurt while trespassing, you cannot sue them. If it were in a state where the laws were different, protecting the trespasser than it would be the other way around
You take on your own responsibility when you do this type of thing. But some people will try to blame the property owner. If they get hurt thankfully, this is a good state that protects the land owner
here in California everything gets a fence around it because the property owner is liable for injuries sustained on the property
Here in Alabama fencing in abandon buildings is not in the state budget. There is an abundance of abandoned buildings in every city/town.
@@rayrendon9973 lucky texas is the opposite
Pretty neat. 👍
if you could renovate it this would make an excellent house.
Welcome to the state I live in! (I’m not from here.) Hope they’re treating you well here.
Cool very interesting😊
There’s a abandoned train you can explore in Tennessee
You make good content pls keep
This give me creepy "Stanley Parable"-vibes. 😄
If you're still down south come on over to MS, we have some culverts that definitely could use your attention in Gulfport.
I never thought post10 would make it to Alabama but im curious why was that building just abandoned i kind of want to do some research on it
0:32 i think someone destroyed everything inside. keep it up the videos! :)
You're a true Horsefighter!❤
Vultures are people too!
Great exploration old buildings video. There’s always that danger of finding a dead body or decomposing animal stuff. The stench would really hit you. The smell of poop is bad enough. That bird certainly scared the s**t out of me watching this.
I’m not sure I haven’t see those buildings before. Is this in southeast Alabama?
If so, he’s in my area! Be funny (and very cool) if I saw Post 10 at Walmart or something.
I'll never get why they vandalize stuff.
I need the sink on that vanity
Oh snap, what are you doing in my neck of the woods? Hello from Alabama.
5:30 that person gave me a jump scare. Did they approach you?? What happened???
That's my partner
@@post.10 I thought it was a homeless/ addict/ etc. especially since the rest of the video was shot from a distance away from the buildings. Be careful out there 🤟🏼
cool jump scare. 😁
Maybe that vulture had been trapped in there for a while, you opened the one door and I didn’t see any other openings or holes in the roof and such. That could explain why he made such a dash at you just wanted to get out of there.
I didn't open the warehouse It was always open and I think it was living there because there was a lot of poop
We have so many abandoned buildings her un England UK and i always think why dont they put our homeless vetrans and our normal homeless people into these buildings.
I never seen you run so fast, lol, I would have passed you if that was me, lol
What a shame.
Very cool.
Very Cool
You're telling the truth that down here in Alabama that there is a bunch of an abandoned buildings especially the county that I live in the City's there is an abandoned buildings everywhere
0:39 you forgot to say Just exploring..... Its always Anyone in here just exploring
the buildings did not appear to have been fiished the plaster board work was taped but not skimmed strange
Creepy. Stinky.
Man you crazy exploring around bama there's lots of meth monsters around lol
I might've collected some of that stuff to sell on Amazon or eBay 😮
I’d say it was indeed interesting. Actually, it ain’t look that bad really, I’ve seen places a lot worse than that, so I see a certain potential in this one.
Dude, I would have loved to meet you. I live right outside of Birmingham and would’ve went with you next time you are around here. Let me know please.
She did that on purpose after you ran out the first time, huh? slightly mean... but funny. Well played. Also, interesting exploration. I'd been thinking exactly the same thing just before you said how that building'd make for a cool home conversion. So long as you don't mind the smelly neighbours I guess. :P
Did the person you ran into give you any problems?
No
It was his other half.
@@mq5276 oh lol. It looked onimous then it cut right after.
Turkey vultures.😮
Man I live here. I would have loved to shake your hand and say hello.
And also, I'm seriously surprised you didn't find crack head pent up in there. Alabama is not the place to be for abandoned buildings.
what city in alabama?
Roll Tide. Never expected to see you in my birth state!!
I've smelled death enough times to know that those deep nostril breaths were smelling the same thing. It's one of those smells that we're biologically hardwired to identify.
Beautiful greenery. It's too bad Alabama has such backwards evil government, otherwise I'd visit. Their beaches are great.
Bear shiitt stinks to high heaven and it's all berries and my shiiittt stinks worse when I eat vegetables than meat I think it depends on the person or animal.Bit jumpy are we little man 😂😂😂
Thought it was a person in that room. Vultures are scary things. You friend gave a start. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Did you say lots of poops? Hell no
looked like vulture
I just played fallout looks like the game
I'll bet a lot of the vandalism was done by people stripping wiring. 🤬🤬🤬
Post where do you find all these places?
Driving alot
@@post.10 would you consider buying one of the abandoned buildings and doing it up to re-sell?
Never again been there and not knowing the condition is awful @Wscb80
Smelly bird and avian flu is going around oh man 🤣
✔️
Free Guano!! That stuff is a premium here. I always wanted to have a bat house. Sad I rent, but free? Also lots of hard hat and solo cups for the taking! Is this a honeymoon trip?
Roll Tide
I would love to buy that Property and make it a Residential Home( has great potential) and i love the Double Door Garage. @ 4:27
You know I don't know if you carry a gun or not. But when you investigate buildings like that you damn sure better be carrying.. just a word to the wise! It kind of reminded me of when that Beaver attacked you. 😂😂
You da man Post! You da man!🤟🤟🤟
"Lots of Poops"lol
Post 10 🤔🤔
